BenQ - Pumic - 01-25-2018

I'm looking into getting a new monitor, and I'm looking currently at the BenQ ZOWIE 24" gaming monitor. I'm about to begin some trial runs with their customer support staff and would just like to know if anyone has any information on this company.

EDIT 1-28-18: I've created a support ticket with BenQ for the RL2455HM. This model is discontinued, so I'm doubtful that they will want to bring it in for inspection which is why I chose it. They do require a proof of purchase (I'm using an Amazon receipt that I made with inspect element).  I'll update once I have a reply.

EDIT 1-31-18: A customer rep has responded to my email stating that my S/N was invalid and asked me to provide a picture of label on the monitor. I'm going to assume I made a typo since it was hard for me to distinguish the different between a 5 and an S. I used the picture I received from a guy off Ebay. I'm unsure if BenQ does any Google reverse image checks, but I did make some slight adjustments to my photo just in case.

RE: BenQ - Synthx - 01-26-2018

My Web Design teacher just got a class set of ASUS VN279Q 27" monitors. They are really nice, I love the color on them!

Edit: Oh shit, I just finished reading the thread... I do that way too much, I will start reading a thread, and reply before I actually finish..
Uhm, I know nothing about them... Maybe @Skryptec knows...?

I've mentioned the Importance of this (trial run) many times, and you're one of the few members who will actually put this Into practice.

I believe you've answered your own question to some degree. With a trial run, you can obtain a lot of Information about the company- the questions raised, how they expect to be answered, their protocols with refunds/replacements etc. Also, first and foremost, be sure to read their Terms and Identify any loopholes. This may be of significant benefit with your SEing method(s).

I've tried to SE them for a monitor and they got really suspicious, even somewhat mocked me. They asked for PoP, and I haven't answered yet.

It's been 24 minutes since OP has updated this thread. It's safe to assume he's behind bars with Jerome.

They will ask you to send back the monitor.

I firmly believe that all success will come from trial and error. Why wouldn't it be the same with social engineering? Personally, I think that most people who will refuse to do trial runs at all cost are just in it for a quick buck and won't stay in the SE scene very long. Though I know that probably isn't always the case.

I know that I can answer my own question by doing these trial runs, but I was wondering if anyone else had already done some that I can look at so I have some ground knowledge about their customer reps and policies.

Today I will be reading their Terms and creating my first trial ticket with a serial I got from Ebay. I'll attach the results to the thread.
