Amazon is asking for a police report! Is a refund still possible?? - WARRIOR125 - 05-29-2017 Amazon is asking for a police report. Has anybody actually gotten a police report and succeeded in getting a refund? I appreciate all the advice I can get. Thank you. RE: Amazon is asking for a police report! Is a refund still possible?? - Ecks - 05-29-2017 I don't know enough about SE to help but either your screwed or someone will show you how to fake a report number. RE: Amazon is asking for a police report! Is a refund still possible?? - Courage - 05-30-2017 I know people used to refund and replace on a site that sells video game systems that requires police report, can't remember the name but there was many people pro at SE literally going to get a fake police report. It's not that hard but make sure your story is straight before you go in. Lying to the police is a crime in itself, let alone mail fraud. RE: Amazon is asking for a police report! Is a refund still possible?? - RT5M - 07-20-2017 Just got through with this process. I used the "Not arrived" choice and it was due to them leaving it where they did, decided I would get one over on them because of their stupidity. (Honestly wouldnt have done it, if they didnt leave it where they did, I was more so pissed off at them and wanted to RF Amazon because of it and in hopes of driver education since they took a hit for it) Lets say it was an expensive electronic on sale. Reported not arrived. Spoke with a chat agent. After 2 days they said police report. Filed a police report, submitted the info. Replacement shipped 1hr later. I sold original for 2x what I paid for it. Keeping the replacement obviously. RE: Amazon is asking for a police report! RE: Amazon is asking for a police report! Is a refund still possible?? - Skullmeat - 07-21-2017 Yay! False police reports! JAIL TIME! RE: Amazon is asking for a police report! Is a refund still possible?? - mothered - 07-21-2017 Firstly, don't falsify a police report. The ramifications (If detected) can be significant of that of a court hearing. You haven't mentioned the nature of your SE, nor the grounds as to why a police report Is requested. Nonetheless, a police report (In this case), Is simply a means of verifying that what you're saying Is true and correct- similar to that of a statutory declaration. Provided you can backup your story leaving very little to chance, simply obtain the report and allow Amazon to complete their paperwork, thereby refund your Item. If you don't obtain the police report, then It's an Indirect admission of guilt. EDIT: Info added. RE: Amazon is asking for a police report! Is a refund still possible?? - maullled - 07-21-2017 This ^ Forging any type of government document is a lot worse than whatever amount you want returned to you. I suggest trying to actually file a police report, they are so common that the police really don't do anything but make the report and other small things that wont effect you at all. There are some PD's like Chicago that don't have time for these reports so they just stop accepting them at all. You can look to see if your city is elligible and if it's not let them know. RE: Amazon is asking for a police report! Is a refund still possible?? - WARRIOR125 - 08-10-2017 *UPDATE* The item "delivered" was an iPad Pro. I am leaning towards the police report. I will update any new progress. Thank you all for the useful info, even if some of it was sarcastic.... RE: Amazon is asking for a police report! Is a refund still possible?? - 3rd Impact - 08-10-2017 Usually I don't fuck with police reports but just keep your story straight and you should be good. |
