Stream? - dudemanjo404 - 12-20-2016
Been thinking of streaming, just never had any way to let anyone know before to come watch if they wanted. Should i do it? i wont have a webcam. I would just stream whatever i wanted, probably lots of league cuz i love that game, but i have a bunch of other games i wanna do and ones i need to finish. League, the thief games, Overwatch, and i wanna streama bunch of old classic games. I also have an Htc vive which i could look into setting up for vr if my pc can handle streaming it. And id be all for playing games with people if they wanted to join. Opinions?

Do it! I'm streaming code, @Oni video games, seems like streaming is the up-and-coming kool kid thing to do onthe forums....

tbh it's kind of boring and there's not many people on the site, but it's fun to meet other streamers/coders (the streamers are really the only ones who watch other people stream)

what kind of coding do you do? im a huge gamer and ive always wanted to learn basic game coding.

I think the most used language for coding is C++, and that's what my friends and I used to create the demo for the VR and Leap motion.
Although if you aren't in need of speed/not working on the next AAA game/anything with any 'real' graphics you can pretty much use any language you want. I think Python is popular and Lua popular for game plugins/extensions.
most big game engines use C++ because it's fast, and you get access to low-level stuff you wouldn't have acess to with other languages.
Right now i'm into using C and Python for contributing to libuv (the framework Node.js runs on) and Python for contributing to qutebrowser, a vim-keybound lightweight browser using qt5(a library for gui)

i actually have an online course i just haven't had the time to do yet for i belive it's C++, i don't remember. i'm doing a 3d modleing one first. i took web design in school though so i think id be pretty ok with coding

Sounds good, but on what site will you stream? Twitch? I'd recommend at least using your mic for streams if you want to increase you views but it's ultimately up to you of course
Btw, I'd like to ask, why don't you capitalise your "i" when you type? O.o

ya id stream on twitch, probably use OBS. I have the razer seiren mic, studio grade quality, with like all razer gear (im a razer fanboy).
and honestly idk, its faster to not capitalize it, everyone still understands so unless im typing a paper or something i just dont anymore, it became habbit. especially with playing online games, you dont wanna take the time to do that one little thing so it engraved itself in my brain to just forget about it.
