Suicide Squad - 4tune - 08-05-2016
Suicide Squad is released tomorrow (well - now today as it's 00:33
) in the UK. Has it already been released in your country? Being released same time as it's being released in the UK? Being released soon?Does anyone have plans on watching it - this weekend maybe? I'll be going to watch it this Sunday. I would have gone to watch it Saturday, but I'm working until 11 PM...

29% on Rotten tomatoes. Ouch. I wasn't impressed with the previews tho, Jared Leto was just trying way to hard to be Heath Ledger, and failing hard.

I never pay attention to ratings and previews, especially from Rotten Tomatoes. There have been multiple movies in the past that I have watched which had bad ratings and previews, yet I really enjoyed them.

This. I trust IMDB more sometimes. I've noticed they are a little SJW. That being said, it was probably another "okay" comic film. At least not as bad as the old Daredevil film.

I useually don't either but this film caught my interest, because of Ledger's stellar preformance as the Joker in The Dark Knight. I was hopeing that Leto wouldn't try to fill the shoes of that preformance and try his own uniqe take. I love the joker's character, but there's just so much wrong with Leto's preformance from what I've seen.

And honestly, I personally think Jared Leto has done a great job, he has showed true dedication to The Joker role (I've been following this movie for a long time - tweets, trailers, blogs, etc). He just doesn't want to disappoint The Joker/DC fans, IMO. We'll see when the movie is officially released for us anyway. Don't get me wrong though, I absolutely loved Heath Ledger, as The Joker too. He perfected The Joker, IMO.

Not that IMDb Is renowned for It's statistical accuracy, but It's rated at 7.5/10 from 23k+ contributors.
I suppose It's an each to their own scenario- based on one's personal preferences and expectancies.

Ledger was edgy and killed himself. Leto doesn't seem that different. I don't like how Leto looks like a school shooter and the general obnoxiousness, though. Joker (like Harley/Ivy) is one of my favorite villains, and Leto could easily be some sort of My Chemical Romance knockoff.
