Recommend books! - PLX-2M - 04-13-2016 Reading books seems to be going out of style...hopeful not on these forums! With that said, recommend your all-time favorite books and the reason why you would want others to read them. I will start: Title: Ready Player One Author: Ernest Cline Genre: SciFi/dystopian Why is it so great: Involves online gaming and virtual reality, kept me engaged from beginning to end, could not put it down, lots of 80's references. RE: Recommend books! - Oni - 04-13-2016 Title: The Godfather & The Godfather Part II Author: Mario Puzo Genre: Crime/Drama (I think...) Why is it so great: Classic mafia story and one of the most famous. Many have watched the films but don't know how excellent the books are. I highly recommend anything else by Puzo as well. RE: Recommend books! - Bish0pQ - 04-13-2016 I hope that many people post on this, I want to get back to reading actually. The book I recommend : Title : The juvenalis dilemma (can be different called in English not sure) Author : Dan Brown Genre : Thriller Why is it so good: Dan Brown is not only a very good writer (he did also write Angels & Demons which everyone probably saw or read). This book is about the NSA who is trying to crack a code. It's very exciting and very psycholical (sorry if misspelled), and I can assure you if you read it, you won't be disappointed! RE: Recommend books! - -nameless - 04-13-2016 Screw your template. Any book from the Artemis Fowl series is great. I've not finished the entire series though, sadly. Fantasy mixed with crime, family, and a bit of deception in between. By fantasy, I mean fairies, gnomes, trolls, goblins, shit like that. The way I've described it doesn't give it much of a good start, but damn those books are good. RE: Recommend books! - Narashae - 04-13-2016 Title: 22/11/63 Author: Stephen King Genre: SciFi/Alternate History Why is it so good: Amazing writing by Stephen King - as always -, and really gripping plot. It's a pretty long book, clocking in at just above 800 pages, which gives King the ability to flesh out every character and the plot, making everything a believeable experience. And the ending: it's truly amazing. Not gonna spoil anything but seriously, read it. You won't be disappointed. RE: Recommend books! - mothered - 04-13-2016 I don't read books unless they're In PDF format (eBooks) and relate to anything computational. My favorite Is "The Art of Deception" by Kevin Mitnick. I enjoyed It from the first paragraph, down to the last word. RE: Recommend books! - Wildfire - 04-13-2016 Continuing on mothered's suggestion, I also suggest reading "The Art of Intrusion", which is either the prequel or sequel, don't remember, and Kevin Mitnick's biography as well, "Ghost In The Wires." Kevin Mitnick's "Ghost In The Wires" is an awesome read indeed. I would also maybe recommend: Title: The Kane Chronicles Author: Rick Riordan (same as Percy Jackson) Genre: Fantasy Novel It's a series of novels based on Egyptian mythology, its also in the same universe as some of his other books Percy Jackson, and so on.
