Twitter/Facebook + Anonymity ? - BroZix - 07-14-2014

Hi people,

As we can see there are many hackers or groups of hackers which hacks and do it just for Publicity. However I'm just curious about one thing which I have thinking about few months and can't figure it out by myself Except that I have some suspicious that they use Tor as for me there isn't any other explanation than that.

So the thing on which I have thinking over few months is that how does Hackers have for example account on Twitter and never get busted ? Also they sometimes spread things like @websites.gov - Taken or Tango Down or simply share link to things which they had hacked like database and still they account is active, is this against Terms of Twitter ? Tho also very rarely we can see this on Facebook as most of the time all the hackers are located on Twitter. Is there any explanation to all of this ?

They do HACKING from ANOTHER SYSTEM, Typical noobs try to become all Elite Hackers and begin hacking from their HOME SYSTEM, and HOME SYSTEM always leads you to yerself hence DIRTY STUFF from some stolen, hacked or RATTED PC etc etc

Yeah I know that but how does they get away with content on Twitter/Facebook ? The account usually stay active and is not banned. Don't they violet TOS when they post their content ?

I can't really speak for Twitter, but 'hackers' on Facebook DON'T really get away with it, and they do have their accounts banned. Facebook takes fake accounts very seriously and bans them just like *snap* that. I, personally, have at least 10 banned Facebook accounts under my belt.

Facebook Like Pages also do get banned/removed/deleted constantly due to illegal activity. Some hacking groups go through multiple pages and regain their likes really quickly through some scripting, publicity, and some simple advertising. Though, I do have a theory regarding this... I have always noticed that small time hackers are the ones that get swatted around by Facebook mods, but it's not too often that it's the bigger guys who have their Facebook accounts taken down. That being said, I think that the feds actually ask Facebook to leave those accounts online in order to help them keep track of their actions without having to go search Facebook or other social media websites for their new account.

This, why spend hours trying to trck down who does what when people are stupid enough to brag about it on social media just wait collect the data and logs then prosecute.

But how many people actually exist that do this? Hacking requires at least 'moderate' intelligence, so surely someone who could perform an activity related to hacking that would be cast as illegal, would not be stupid enough to brag about it on facebook...

Well what about hacking groups like Anonymous, Lulzec or even COSMO ? All of them I think were pretty much medium-level hackers which have their accounts on Twitter and some of them still works without any problem and do some activities especially anonymous as for Lulzec and COSMO is Game Over for now.

To make it short, only a stupid would publish things like that in a social network

Not really most of these posts are about DDoS or low level SQLi injections which are barely skid level and require little to no actual knowledge hackers that know what they're doing don't brag about it (or at least on sites like that)

Oh okay, that makes sense...
I thought it was a little strange for decent hackers to brag about their activity, because surely if they have good knowledge of hacking, they will know how easily they can be found if they brag - but if we're talking about skid level then I am no longer confused Wink
