Well, i cant afford, nor do i want, an iPhone 5s - However im very curious about this new fingerprint sensor. Any one here gonna put it to the test? I wonder if its as easy to beat as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAfAVGES-Yc lol.
And when i was looking for that video, i found http://istouchidhackedyet.com/ - looks like people are willing to pay good money to see this done.
Are you gonna give it a shot with your expensive new device? lol

It is still possible that people can lose their fingers even though it's told that you can't open it with dead finger.
Some thieves might be desperate and try even that.
I think there'll be no official test to try if it really opens with dead finger.

Well, my guess is the way they tell a living from a dead finger is simply via an electrical charge detected. Adding a similar electric charge to say, the ballistic gel finger print they tested, might be one method of bypassing that "test".

Although if there are no flaws in that fingerprint system, that'll be good way to secure a phone.
I'm waiting for test results to show that you can only open it with a living finger.
Also waiting for that contest's results.

The fingerprint system has been cracked.
It's fairly easy to bypass it.
For now, i think you can open it with dead finger since you can open it with a photo of your fingerprint.

We could just call it "Working as intended" and not a bypass, since it seems they didn't bother making a legit fingerprint scanner.
I'm kinda against Apple since the Snowden leaks as well :epic:

I've never been into Apple products. They have their own benefits but they are way overpriced. But this fingerprint system is complete joke:Grin:
