What operating system are you using? If you're for example on Linux you could try out playing around with the IP tables. ( Log your traffic first to see where its coming from )

One advice is that don't spread your server that much, more the popularity of your server, It'll become a target for n00bs with tools. So keep it a little low, Give the server to trusted one's only
