Multiple colour gradient? - Cressi - 05-27-2014

So, with the new colour switcher for the theme; I've found an annoyance...

The gradient in the category bar looks less...professional when using multiple colouring:

...also, I notice now that the "Nullchan" option isn't available when using multiple colours.

Just a small fix would do for this; but hereby noted none-the-less Tongue

I noticed this too, but I didn't think it was related to changing colours; I thought the option was removed altogether.

I admit it looks not as good, but I just deal with it. If there was a way to make it symmetrical it would be perfect. Sorry there my OCD was talking for me. Biggrin

Inside of MyBB themes, you have the templates and stylesheets. The templates are basically what change the look. The stylesheets is more of colouring and such, though can be used for animations and other graphic-related projects. All @Oni needs to do is change the header templates.

PM me for more information on MyBB theme templates, stylesheets, etc., @MiS, if you want to know more, that is. I'll be sure to explain as much as possible with my very limited thirteen-year-old vocabulary.

Thanks (again!) for clarifying. At this rate, you might even have to layman thirteen year old vocabulary explaining something to me.

Oni pls, use soft gradients;
Code:
background: #0b0b0b; background: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #0b0b0b 0%, #080808 2%, #270808 4%, #c52727 6%, #811919 8%, #791515 24%, #5f1111 43%, #510c0c 53%, #500d0d 80%, #531111 88%); background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, color-stop(0%,#0b0b0b), color-stop(2%,#080808), color-stop(4%,#270808), color-stop(6%,#c52727), color-stop(8%,#811919), color-stop(24%,#791515), color-stop(43%,#5f1111), color-stop(53%,#510c0c), color-stop(80%,#500d0d), color-stop(88%,#531111)); background: -webkit-linear-gradient(top, #0b0b0b 0%,#080808 2%,#270808 4%,#c52727 6%,#811919 8%,#791515 24%,#5f1111 43%,#510c0c 53%,#500d0d 80%,#531111 88%); background: -o-linear-gradient(top, #0b0b0b 0%,#080808 2%,#270808 4%,#c52727 6%,#811919 8%,#791515 24%,#5f1111 43%,#510c0c 53%,#500d0d 80%,#531111 88%); background: -ms-linear-gradient(top, #0b0b0b 0%,#080808 2%,#270808 4%,#c52727 6%,#811919 8%,#791515 24%,#5f1111 43%,#510c0c 53%,#500d0d 80%,#531111 88%); background: linear-gradient(to bottom, #0b0b0b 0%,#080808 2%,#270808 4%,#c52727 6%,#811919 8%,#791515 24%,#5f1111 43%,#510c0c 53%,#500d0d 80%,#531111 88%); filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient( startColorstr='#0b0b0b', endColorstr='#531111',GradientType=0 );

Softer gradient would be awesome, @Oni ^^

RE: Multiple colour gradient? - cr33pyguy - 05-28-2014

I feel like this bothers me just because all the "action" is going on behind the text...
If he'd made the edge be low in the bar so that it would have like a "line" in the bottom of the bar, I wouldn't probably even notice (I might personally even think that would be cool). However, that wouldn't fit the rest of the theme, and so doesn't this (well, not quite)

RE: Multiple colour gradient? - Uzinero - 05-28-2014

Dammit, I hadn't noticed this until you pointed it out but once I saw it, it kept bothering me until I switched back to the regular theme, will keep using userscripts for the green theme for now, hopefully the gradients will look as good on the multiple theme as on the regular.

RE: Multiple colour gradient? - Oni - 05-28-2014

Nullchan button added. Will see about the gradients.
