Threats from Amazon seller - MVD01 - 01-29-2025 Long story short, I did a MEB on my mate's 2 yr old Amazon account with a long list of orders for a CPU (which is externally visible) sold by a third party. The seller was yapping about launching an investigation and checking CCTV, weight etc. so I just contacted Amazon Customer Service, who connected me with a specialist who instantly issued the refund (amount was £500). The seller contacted me and said that they've appealed to Amazon, since "I didn't return the item, and we have proof of you recieving it". Should I be worried about Amazon taking the refund back? Also, they reproted me to Action Fraud but I don't really care about that. RE: Threats from Amazon seller - Potatoman27 - 01-29-2025 don't fuck with third party sellers. why would you even?... It’s a big company with tens of thousands of reviews. I had no choice since Amazon official didn’t sell it. If they have CCTV and provide proof, that you indeed received the item, Amazon will lock the account and every associate (household) Addition they will file a police report Either you get fucked or the driver RE: Threats from Amazon seller - MVD01 - 01-30-2025 (01-29-2025, 11:32 PM)SuspectN Wrote:(01-29-2025, 10:06 PM)MVD01 Wrote: Long story short, I did a MEB on my mate's 2 yr old Amazon account with a long list of orders for a CPU (which is externally visible) sold by a third party. Will they? I mean, I doubt the police will do anything even if worst case they do file a police report, they’re really incompetent. But I don’t think that CCTV itself is a smoking gun. It could’ve easily been tampered with after that no? Also, wouldn’t Amazon be more hesitant in issuing a refund in the first place if there was such a possibility? RE: Threats from Amazon seller - Wreck_C - 01-30-2025 stop hitting 3rd party sellers esp when it's through another website, they obviously not big enough if they have time to argue with you. Nothing will happen now, Amazon may reimburse them if it was fulfilled or shipped by them. If not the seller will take the L or have to file a claim with courier which is probably why they are pissed. Yeah I understand, I thought that Amazon third party was in the clear but evidently they aren't. I'll avoid them like the plague from now on. As I said the focus on the suspect, will either shift on you or on the Driver. Did they asked for pictures? End of the day there will be an investigation, which will most likely end up to nothing If the shop provides proof and the evidence is crystal clear, I am certain, that OFM will email you and lock up the account RE: Threats from Amazon seller - MVD01 - 01-31-2025 (01-30-2025, 05:58 PM)SuspectN Wrote:(01-30-2025, 12:01 AM)MVD01 Wrote:(01-29-2025, 11:32 PM)SuspectN Wrote: If they have CCTV and provide proof, that you indeed received the item, Amazon will lock the account and every associate (household) They did take pics, but I'm not sure why that matters since I'm claiming MEB, not DNA. I don't see what proof they can provide besides CCTV footage which shouldn't be a smoking gun since the CPU could've easily been "lost" after being packed. Which company was it? Just curious. Also don't worry about action fraud, they literally mean nothing...they will most likely just say "we dont have enough resource and evidence to investigate". |
