Most you've ever spent on a meal - Jiggly - 04-14-2024 Recently spoke to someone who talked about a meal out that cost them more than the average rent. They were with a group, but it got me thinking, I've never paid more than £35 (approx $44) a head for a meal out. I've never been one for posh restaurants so places with high prices are turn off for me, but what's the most you've ever spent (or would spend)? RE: Most you've ever spent on a meal - Juju1999 - 04-17-2024 Meh I dont know where you live but im in the state. Avg is like 50 per head eatting out... Even those buffets are 29.99 per heas and thatsnot including tax and tips.... Nycsuper expensive. It wasn't $50 a head everywhere I went, though there were plenty of restaurants at that price too. Perhaps it depends on the type of place you go? RE: Most you've ever spent on a meal - Santoro998 - 04-25-2024 $450 at a fancy steakhouse it was good but man did I feel stupid afterwards. Never did that again. What made you go for it in the first place? Haha. Never did that again. I've done about the same, but I don't feel stupid or have any regrets afterwards. Maybe ~$150 per person, plus alcohol. Easy to rack up a $500+ bill between two people. I normally only go for special occasions, maybe once or twice a year. When you eat at high end steak houses, you're getting better quality meat cooked to perfection. Basically melts in your mouth good. Really everything about your meal should be near perfect. There are other ways to spend your money, but you can't take it with you when you die. When you aren't struggling financially and have less desire for physical possessions, you tend to spend more money on sharing experiences with people you care about. Fancy restaurants, vacations, events, etc. RE: Most you've ever spent on a meal - PeptoBismol - 05-16-2024 around $200 but I was inviting a group of friends so its a bit different RE: Most you've ever spent on a meal - FancyGrad - 05-20-2024 Im a cheap person so the amount I spent is only around 35$ utmost RE: Most you've ever spent on a meal - ammmaammma - 05-21-2024 Only about £45 and even that was a lot RE: Most you've ever spent on a meal - Helix05 - 05-25-2024 $975 for two people at a fancy steak and seafood place.
