Sunglass Hut SE Update - CRSN47 - 01-06-2024

I recently began an SE on Sunglass Hut, I went through the calling process, and they sent me a form where I had to fill out some information, the tracking number, order number, and my name/address. I chose to MEB* them so I will wait to hear back in less than 3 weeks.
Looking at the proof of delivery UPS provided, I do not see how they couldn't rule in my favor, the photo they used was awful and you can barely see the package. Below I have attached their "Proof."

Anyone have any idea on how this could go wrong? Also what do I do if they decline the claim?
I'm aware I should request photographic proof of the box UNOPENED at the time of delivery, but is there anything else I could come back at them with if there are issues?

RE: Sunglass Hut SE Update - Blazealways - 01-07-2024

Who cares about the photo? It is an EB claim.

You're confirming that you received the package, but the box was empty.
If they deny your claim you can try Paypal claim or chargeback depending on how you paid.

Or take the L and return them

What made you decide against MEB?

RE: Sunglass Hut SE Update - Redacted - 01-07-2024

For me Sunglasshut was quite the pain, I ordered 2 Sunglasses and told them MEB on one, took them like 2-3 months till I got the replacement, and then had to send that back for the refund. Overall they were pleasant to deal with, but just told me I had to wait for the investigation etc, and they keep you in the dark for the whole process.
Sunglass wasn’t crazy expensive like 400€ btw.

I did MEB them, that was my mistake in the initial post. I got the Ray-Ban Meta glasses, and Meta has a strong history of MEB working, so I figured that wouldn't be an issue here.

The rep on the phone spoke directly about them working with UPS throughout the investigation so I figured that photo would come up at some point. I didn't feel it was relevant either, but since they mentioned it, I figured it might be useful.

Claiming EB on Meta and claiming MEB on a pair of heavier-than-usual sunglasses made by Meta but sold by Sunglasses Hut is a totally different thing, fyi.
I wish you they'll just overlook that fact and refund you

How recently was this? I've always gotten a a same day refund confirmation with them even with 700+ dollar shades.

What method did you use?? I've only ever heard of them doing investigations for everything. Also what region are you in?

I've always did the EB method with them. Also North American region if that helps.

Any other sunglasses sources hitting recently? Broke my carbon blades while travelling. Those are worth over 400 euros ffs. Sad
