GPU Swap - Homura77 - 12-15-2023
Hello,
A quick question for those who tried this method or have any insight into it.
I have a faulty 3080 GPU, and I was thinking of ordering the same make and model, from Ebay, and swapping them. I would change the SN and return it as faulty. Does that sound stupid or could it work?

Update: Did the swap. They requested pictures before they'd accept the return. Sent them. They're saying they have pictures of the item prior to shipping it and that they don't match mine. "The screws and two resistors are in different positions in my pictures" - which...they aren't. I checked thoroughly. I'll keep pushing them to see what happens.

Which site do u think to use in order to buy the new one? I got the same cpu and was thinkin to do the same

There are better methods to use than the one I'm using
) I'm not confident that this one will work but if it does, and you want to use it, I'll let you know the details.

Now I am curious to see the pictures. 'Spot the 3 differnces'
Doesn't seem usual for a company to take pictures of GPU's before sending..

Why did you not swap and send it back as a normal return? Do they thorough check returns?
