Chargebacks and Bank? - impatient - 08-21-2023

So, my secondary bank account (the one I use primarily for SEs) has decided to close down my bank account in two months. Is that normal? Has anyone else experienced anything similar? I suspect it has something to do with 5-6 chargebacks filed over the past three months.

Huh only if the account is new or you haven't spent much on it (non refunds). You won't seem like a credible customer so they may close your account, especially if you are giving similar reasons for disputes and merchants have proofs against you.

6 is not too much in 3 months but also depends on the reasons for the dispute and if the merchant is accepting or fighting the charge backs. If all your charge backs are going to arbitration it's a bit suspect. Sometimes merchant just accept the chargeback.

The size of the bank does not influence their ability to identify suspicious accounts. A chargeback should only be considered if all other options have been exhausted; never view this approach as the primary measure of your SE's success. Depending on your country of residence, closing a bank account could significantly impact your financial history, especially if you're considering taking out a mortgage or other financial services in the future.

Some advice:
- Don't dedicate a bank account to SEs, they can easily be identified by customer service agents, so use them regularly to hide expenses.
- Use chargeback only as a last resort: it's better to give up the item and send it back than to start a bank dispute.
- If you can't get the item refunded, only make chargebacks for large amounts ($750 extra, for example), it's better to assume the costs associated with small SE
- And last but not least, a chargeback is synonymous with failure, it means that your SE didn't work, you should rather review your techniques, you should never do more than 2-3 chargebacks per year. This can have a considerable impact, especially if a complaint is lodged with the police.

I would look up biggest banks in Europe and try those. Or Google best banks for chargebacks.
I have kind of shitty credit from ripping off Verizon and T-Mobile with fake phone trade in credit to get the best phones for the price of sales tax every year.  Otherwise I would love to get a Chase or Amex card.

If you want to learn more about chargebacks and how to win over 90% of them like I do there are several great sites.  Chargebacks911 is a pretty good one that has a lot of resources.

I'm big into to chargebacks as a fall back if the refund doesn't work. I want(have) to win every order anyway I can with the retailer.

Damn and i was nervous about having a dozen or so chargebacks over 10 years, is the bank closing your account the only real world repercussion to filing so many chargebacks?

Thank you actually I’m not in eu, but I will check amex. They offer it at some other bank. I have one last chargeback to be finalized then I will close the bank account that has closed down my credit cards

They closed my credit cards not the account . I will close the bank account once the last chargeback is released .

I couldn't disagree more. Most of what you said is wrong and arrogant and woefully ignorant.
How is a successful chargeback a failure? It's the exact same amount of money as if you successfully refunded the item.
A SCAM IS A SCAM!  The money is the same!
Only you seem to think your an expert SE Refunder when really your a one trick pony criminal.  It's being well rounded and knowledgeable about multiple scams that is much more useful.
And refunding is way more apt to get you in trouble with the law than chargebacks. Many people have gone to jail over refunding no one has for chargebacks.

The size of the bank absolutely matters.
I've done over 150 charge backs on the same credit card in the last 2 1/2 years from the biggest bank in the US and it is still active.
Doing one chargeback of $750 to the bank is the same exact thing as doing 10 chargebacks for $75. Both equal $750

There are 3 outcomes with chargebacks.
1)You win and you and the bank lose no money the merchant does.
2)The bank pays for your chargeback and they lose the money
3)You lose the chargeback and you lose the money.

If you are winning most of them with by the first way the bank doesn't care they get their money.
They don't call chargebacks Friendly Fraud for nothing.

Yes because you can file a chargeback for multiple reasons like being dissatisfied with the product purchased.

That's totally subjective and can't be prosecuted in a court.

Do a google search and try to find one person who went to prison for chargebacks. Then search for people refunding who did. There's a lot especially when they do it to Amazon too much.
What are some good reasons for a chargeback incase a se fails, would the reason given for the chargeback have to allign with the story of the se with the one given to the store? Or could it be a entirely different reason thats valid with the bank.
