Should I? - Black Haze - 10-28-2013

I've been debating over the past few days, about producing a short novel based on Social Engineering called. "The Value of Information." My perception of it. How it's used. How to use it. How to improve your SE skills. How SE can be used in a positive way as well as a negative. A bit of Psychology and the Mindset of a SE.

My question is. Who would like me to create this and if so, Would you give it an honest read through with an open mind? I'm not going to sell it. I'm going to give it out freely to sinister.li users should enough users so wish to read it.

----------------NOTES-----------------
Who this novel is NOT for.
This novel is not for those with advanced SE knowledge, as most of the information I will provide you most likely know, but if you still wanna give it a read through. Feel free.

This is NOT for those who have this absurd idea that it's going to turn you into a Pro SE, or Hacker.

If you choose to use the information in this novel to hack or break into computer systems maliciously or SE without authorization, you’re on your own. Neither I (the author) nor anyone else associated with this short novel shall be liable or responsible for any unethical or criminal choices that you might make and execute using the methodologies I describe. This book is intended solely for Educational purposes ONLY.

This book is going to give you the basic foundation of SEing, the power behind SEing, teach you the basics on how to start SEing, and as the title states. The value of information to a SE, as well as the things I stated above.

Its really up to you if you want to write it or not, and I haven't really read that many of your threads in the past so I dont really know wether or not you're any good, however if you feel you can help out the members on this forum with what you have learnt I'm going to have to say go for it. I am sure a lot of people would be more than happy to read it and maybe they'd even learn a thing or two that they didnt know in the past. Sharing is caring you know.

I concur, but, I want those who read it. To give it an honest read through, and have an open mind when doing so. I don't claim to be a "Pro", or a "Great" Social Engineer. However, I do believe I have quite a bit of Insight, Perspective, and hopefully some new useful information to my many fellow Social Engineer's. I'm mostly directing this information at beginners to Social Engineering, and yes. I don't put up many threads here. Hence why I am doing this, as an attempt to give a little something to the sinister.li Community.

Good to hear that, looking forward.

I wouldn't waste my time on this. It's just going to make people more proficient at lying (that's what SEing is in a nutshell) and that's something you don't want.

Not sure WHY we wouldn't want it. It'll just help the people within the small community get better at SE'ing.

Actually Chf. Social Engineering is about Lying and Manipulation. (In a nut shell). From the time we are born we are inherently Manipulative in a small way. For example. When you cried until your Parents gave you what you wanted. Using your fits and crying. You manipulated your parents into doing what you wanted. Also. SEing doesn't have to be seen in a negative light or always used in a negative way. I plan to write about the Positive ways you can use SEing instead of always using it to cause problems. Regardless. If you wanted to become an Ethical Hacker, Penetration tester or White hat hacker. You must first learn all of the Black hat ways. If people choose to use this for Black hat activities, that's their choice, and if they get caught. Then they are the one's who have to suffer the consequences.

I may be interested in this, depends on how HQ/practical the information is and how well written the book is.
