Christian website selling false hope - Evangelist - 10-13-2013 As I was talking with my friend on Skype we were joking about religion and he said that he found a website that posts "prayer requests" so he went and filled one for the lol's and the result was indeed very infuriating. Just a few "testimonials" ![]() Now, when they all have you exited and hopeful you file a request, but wait. You have to pay for them to pray for you! ![]() Now, are you fucking serious? We all know that prayer never works but, charge you for false hope? This is fucking pathetic. This is my biggest problem with religion, selling false hopes and dreams to people that ACTUALLY need help, prayers lessens your chance for success "Oh it's in God's hands" and you stop working for your achievements because "god has it in control". Why not stop paying for prayers and do your shit on your own? Website: https://www.christianprayercenter.com/ RE: Christian website selling false hope - Feat - 10-13-2013 Honestly, this is sad. I mean, religion is already a tool to prey on the "lesser" but to take advantage of that is just wrong. RE: Christian website selling false hope - Kureo - 10-13-2013 Religion has always been a tool used for greed if you ask me. Its something that people fully control in order to gain something, certainly people gain false hopes and even those may help. But religion gives more negative than positive the majority of the times it is involved in something at all. RE: Christian website selling false hope - Customer - 10-13-2013 This isn't the first. I know you knew that, but I just wanted to refresh peoples memories. Remember Christian hotline? Those people made around 7k lifetime just by trolling and selling a useless bible. RE: Christian website selling false hope - Evangelist - 10-13-2013 This is one of the major reasons I oppose many religions RE: Christian website selling false hope - Feat - 10-13-2013 (10-13-2013, 02:42 AM)Evangelist Wrote: This is one of the major reasons I oppose many religions Forgot your period hun. Anyways, I think that this is just another piece of proof that religion is a promoter of greed and stupidity. Did you see that study where they took Atheists and Religious people and gave them IQ tests?
RE: Christian website selling false hope - Divine - 10-13-2013 I'm pretty sure these guys are just atheist scammers looking to make a quick buck off of hillbillies over the age of 60. If they're Christians, I'm sad to have associated myself with them in the past. RE: Christian website selling false hope - Nyx - 10-13-2013 I may sound like a dick from saying this but I am surprised that this hasn't been done before, like this is probably raking in the dough right now! xD RE: Christian website selling false hope - Feat - 10-13-2013 (10-13-2013, 04:16 AM)Soul_DZ Wrote: I'm pretty sure these guys are just atheist scammers looking to make a quick buck off of hillbillies over the age of 60. If they are Atheists, I give them some huge props for having the balls to even pose as a religious company. RE: Christian website selling false hope - mig4ng - 10-13-2013 Church is getting to know how to profit on the web? It's like this since it basically exists, only know they need to take advantage of something that can help the profit... |
