Legal Problems - starrapter123 - 04-21-2023 I tried something new with Goat and to proceed with the SE they are requiring - ID - Police Report - Affidavit. With the affidavit they claim, "Rest assured that the documents provided will only be used for the process of investigation" In the actual affidavit form it says, "The sender understands that local law enforcement may investigate said claim of non-delivery of this shipment and that falsifying information regarding this shipment may constitute mail fraud/perjury, which is a felony." In the form they ask for my signature, ID type, ID number, and signature of a witness. Should I keep following through with this or give it up? I don't like getting involved with police and I of course don't want any legal problems. I don't know if the document is legally binding or what they'll do with the investigation. Any help is appreciated. RE: Legal Problems - starrapter123 - 04-21-2023 bump 25 character limit. RE: Legal Problems - 2sTxzG - 04-21-2023 I assume you've DNA your package in which case police reports usually always take place. I've had to do police reports about 5 (maybe 4 for SE) times now, but I've never had to provide ID. if you think about it how will the police come to the conclusion that you've lied, unless you admit it? anyway I hope your problems will be solved
RE: Legal Problems - starrapter123 - 04-21-2023 Wasn't DNA, was a form of FTID. I have an Alias seller account with great reputation (80+ sales over 3 years old). I "sold" a pair of off white jordan 5's with a payout of around 1k. I took the shipping label removed all identifying info, slapped it on a yellow bubble envelope, filled it with some advertisements, and sent it on the way. It arrived and I contacted around 4 days later and asked why my shoes still haven't been authenticated. They claimed they don't have them and started an investigation through UPS. Then recently I received the email with all of that info. RE: Legal Problems - starrapter123 - 04-22-2023 bump 25 character limit. I did the SE in hopes of them sending the payout for the shoes anyways, since my account is very reputable. I make the thread to see if I can still follow through with it.(04-21-2023, 09:15 PM)starrapter123 Wrote: Wasn't DNA, was a form of FTID.So your SE revolves around you selling Jordan's on eBay / some other ecommerce site not refunding them? Just checked out the app, so you are selling directly to Alias then and no one else? As for the SE I think you may have screwed yourself by not having the envelope filled with ads match the weight of a pair of shoes. Do you think so? The tracking never mentioned anything about the weight changing, it always said 3.6 lbs. Do you think they'd be able to figure that out through the investigation? RE: Legal Problems - starrapter123 - 04-22-2023 @mothered do you have any input on this? |
