eb failed? - sinisterlee - 04-14-2023 The target company was faffing around for the last few days, checking internally etc. No they say they will send a ups represenative to inspect both boxes (manufacturer and delivery box). RE: eb failed? - keneff - 04-15-2023 failed and possible legal consequences if UPS steps in RE: eb failed? - Robbinhoodd - 04-15-2023 Yep its over, might as well go into hiding in another country and change your identity. Did you EB a gold coin or something? I've never heard of a UPS driver going out of their way to do this. RE: eb failed? - EquitableEngineer - 04-15-2023 Seems excessive to me, have they not even asked for pics ? Could be a scare tactic. RE: eb failed? - Ashitbag - 04-15-2023 Woah, that is a fairly extreme measure. Do you care to mention the company? Was it a very high value item? Is this an address with a lot of DNAs/EBs associated with it recently? Seems like a lot of companies are really cracking-down recently, at least from what I have been reading. RE: eb failed? - greeneggsandespress0 - 04-15-2023 I had this happen with a DNA box a couple years ago from fedex. They sent out a rep for an $80 item. Sometimes they do this shit at random maybe? Funny that hardly anyone speaks about SE'ing precious metals, which are as close to cash as possible and will increase in value over time. Very rarely done eb but both times with ups they wanted to send a rep/courier. This item was less 120grams for sure. A long time ago, it was doomed to fail due to the weight of the item (watch from versace). Can't say whether ups does it everytime but 100% on two attempts so far. I thought the motivation would be so that the box has to be opened and is no longer sealed, lowering the value for resale. After them sending several internal emails, they said they need someone to pick it up and inspect the box. (04-15-2023, 06:03 AM)Ashitbag Wrote: Woah, that is a fairly extreme measure. No such an attempt has not made at that address before. It is getting harder for sure. RE: eb failed? - mothered - 04-17-2023 Quote:eb failed? Not at all. All the rep will see Is an empty box which Is consistent with your claim, so let him waste as much time as he likes - he won't get anywhere. RE: eb failed? - sinisterlee - 04-18-2023 case closed, no reply needed RE: eb failed? - HEIS - 04-18-2023 I had something similar going once, sent pictures of the box and then a day later I was asked to send even more pictures, so at that point I just said that I wasn't expecting that they would need even more pictures so I threw it away, they acknowleged that since they no longer can investigate the matter they will proceed with refund. |
