PayPal - Item not as described - ludwigsholyblade - 02-09-2023

Currently attempting a PayPal SE. I've had luck in the past with merchants either not responding or not responding after PayPal denies case, but not this time. Currently, I have the case reason as "I received an item or service that was different or not as described". I know some people have been requested by PayPal to submit audited proof an item was damaged but the prompt for me was:

"More information required about how the item was damaged or was significantly different from the item advertised." With photos and some text.

The items were a figure, 2 hoodies and an otaku lamp. How do I go about this? If I remember correctly, I ship out an empty box once this gets approved but I don't know what to say.

Yeah it was for the lot, so you think one pic for each with whatever excuse? Or is there a way to do this without returning anything

What're the chances of Incorrectly picking, packing and dispatching 4 different Items on the same order? I'll answer It for you: Zero.

Let's hope the company and PayPal don't see It that way.

Ran out of time to respond. Going to try "unauthorized" transaction case reason since I did place the order from another IP address in a different city

Agreed, if there's even one crack in your story it'll get denied and you'll have that on your PayPal acc history.

Be sure you've covered every angle.
The unauthorized approach failed and I got customer service to return me to "Item not described". I just said I received incorrect items (colour or quality control issues). If I'm prompted to return these items, will an empty box shipped to the same zip code in the area work? Or will the package have to be the same weight as what I received?

I'm very surprised your claim has gone back to SNAD after an unauthorized transaction failed attempt.

Packages are weighed on consignment, hence you'd need to match the return with the original purchase.
