Sneakers DNA help - Kikibosum - 01-31-2023

Hi everyone,
I tried a sneakers website called Wethenew, on a pair at about 150 euros. I received an email from the carrier, as well as a code to present to the deliverer (an OTP). I wanted to make a DNA, so I rescheduled the delivery in a relay point, which, without doubt, will not ask me for a code (I think) and just a signature.
Did I do the right thing? Is it more likely to work?

As usual, I provide a (fake) ID that the shopkeeper verifies only visually. I cover myself with a hood and a nose cover so that I can't be identified on the surveillance cameras.
The company seems to be very meticulous on its refunds, I read on a review site that a woman had her identity stolen in a relay point by indicating that her signature had nothing to do with it and that the package was delivered to another person, to which wethenew replied: "We are sincerely sorry but your delivery has been confirmed and proven against your ID.

We are therefore unable to refund your order."
I don't know the details, but this really indicates that they are tough, even for returns they pay attention to every detail.

Update : i go to Access point. No signature needed and no ID verification needed. Any ideas ?

Perfect. Assuming you've covered yourself to circumvent their CCTV, there's no record to cross-check who actually picked up the package.

Contact the company the following day and tell them that you went to collect your package, but It wasn't there.

I was not covered, however, I wore glasses (which I never wear). Is it serious?

Based on the feedback, I thought I would make a normal return. I didn't think that no signature was going to be requested. This being said, I highly doubt that the transporter checks the cameras, moreover he can't prove that it's me, how does he know what I look like?

Don't assume - you don't know how the carrier operates Internally.

Your comment below suggests the company will perform an In depth assessment, hence they may request an external Investigation to the carrier to check the footage.

It's as simple as requesting photo ID to move forward with their Investigation.

That's true, but how can they know it's me and not someone who looks like me? I mean, in my ID picture I was much younger than I am now, and I've changed quite a bit. So if I look a lot like someone, can I legally go pick up their package?
It is true that I do not know how far the company will go, I contacted them and they told me that they would launch an investigation with the carrier and that within 24-48 hours, I would probably have an answer.
