Meta quest - Craigtheboss - 01-20-2023 Does anyone know if meta bricks devices after a refund was looking to do one but have read mixed reviews RE: Meta quest - SilentSniper8122 - 01-20-2023 (01-20-2023, 09:37 AM)Craigtheboss Wrote: Does anyone know if meta bricks devices after a refund was looking to do one but have read mixed reviews Me personally I wouldn’t even turn it on for a couple weeks after the refund, I still believe they keep watch and check to see if it’s active for a a while, it’s annoying waiting but 30 days would 100% be okay in my personal opinion. RE: Meta quest - mothered - 01-20-2023 A device cannot be "bricked" remotely. Blacklisted, yes, but not bricked. As far as I'm aware it's not been reported to date. One of these criteria was whether the device had been activated or not prior to escalating the claim to "level 2" for a refund. Its safe to say these should not be activated prior to receiving the refund in full, however I'm yet to hear of a headset being blacklisted as a whole. If you're not in a rush I'd say 2-3 weeks just to be on the safe side RE: Meta quest - mothered - 01-21-2023 (01-20-2023, 10:39 PM)Craigtheboss Wrote: So how long after the refund has cleared , should I wait to turn it on if I follow up with the processA couple of weeks or so.
