Can I SE the same store with a doctored version of my name, different addy and different payment method that is still registered to me?

Billing address. Many sites allow you to enter the one thats not on your card n still put the order through anyways.

payment method different but name on card could be the same.

type your address with a wrong spelling but in speakable meaning : EX ... 1-second elmur st , 2- 2nd elmor st at the end of main X road etc ... in my openion they wont be taking care much of the address as long as you have different payment method and different phone number with diffrent access device added to a securd ip address with also taking note the change of the mac address

Possibly.

Some companies can put two and two together and link the modified address to the original.

Possibly.

Some companies can put two and two together and link the modified address to the original.
keep in mind that some companies (for example Nike) completely disregard billing adress as long as you don't trigger their anti-fraud system.
To avoid doing that make sure to DON'T copy and paste card numbers, just slowly type them like a normal person would do.
Also make sure to confirm 3DS (if your card has that) first time it asks for it.

Basically focus on placing a correct order on the first attempt, if you fail then i suggest to use different account and card (details ofc as well)

Also this is a little side note:
I tend to get way less cancels when placing an order with express shipping and to everyone's knowledge they refund that as well
