Hi old bike is so slow and it keeps breaking down. I want to SE a fast new bike. Where do I SE it from ?

So I see lots of bikes on Amazon being sold and dispatched by Amazon. But they will send an OTP for delivery. Then we all know what happens , police report which they are unable to verity. I can’t do this again, it’s exhausting. Half an hour on phone and they are unable to verify the police report because the police won’t give them any information!
What are the other easy options in the UK?

As a social engineer yourself, expect to deal with Investigations and PRs. If you're not prepared to do that, disregard the SE altogether.

People in the UK please give me some advice/ opinion.
There are two big companies I have found here Evan Cycles and Halfords. I am looking to SE a bike between £500-600
I went to Evan Cycles today they said that the bike will be delivered by Evri , all assembled.
Can I DNA this then ? Or should I go for Halfords ?
Also I will pay through PayPal so if the company doesn’t refund me , I will open a dispute of item not as described.
Any suggestions?

Hi , I did pursue the SE and I am stuck. I have claimed DNA with Evans Cycles but they are saying that it has been delivered to me . This is their latest response. Do you think they will refund me or not ?
Please be advised that I can confirm that the tracking shows the parcel was delivered to **** and the GPS provide by the courier matches this.
Please be advised that I have escalated this for you to be looked into by a Senior member of our team also.

Thank you for your patience whilst the investigation was underway regarding your delivery dispute.
Having completed a thorough investigation with the courier, they have advised that the delivery was compliant and your claim has been rejected.
Our findings revealed that the bike was delivered on the 27/01/23 to **** The delivery photo provided also shows this was left with the resident at an open door.
With this information, I am confident that the order was delivered compliantly and therefore cannot accept your claim.
Now please help what should I write in their email where they have said that they will escalate to senior manager. Because these people are Sports Direct and they don’t respond. I have to chase them . Please help me with the exact wording . Thanks .

I can’t see the photo. They haven’t shared the photo with me . It was my flatmate who accepted the bike .
On Fx freight tracking it say accepted by her . My name is different than hers !
On the tracking is says delivered in Hodessdon while my location is in London! So it’s all very weird with the tracking!

Also these people didn’t even email on 27th that my order is going to be delivered. In fact they email me on 28th saying that my order has been shipped !
I wasn’t even aware that they will deliver the bike on 27th as I didn’t get any email or phone message. My flatmate was at home so she accepted the bike ! Her name is Katie. The order has been placed under my name , which is different!
Anyways now I need to email them today as they have escalated this to senior manager. What do I write to get the refund ?
