SE - WRONG ITEM RECEIVED - Juju - 11-27-2022

I received an xbox series s from amazon that I was planning to DNA, however it ended up coming with OTP, rendering DNA not a viable option. so im thinking to use the wrong item received method.

my question is how close does the weight of the item im replacing the xbox with need to be in comparison to the xbox? the xbox weighs 3.5kg boxed do I need to match the exact weight or do I have some room for it to weigh more or slightly less? and if so how much by?

That is not how the wrong item received method works
Why?

You should match the weight pretty close, within a 100 gram radius i'd say. It's an xbox, the weight doesn't fluctuate

yeah I was thinking as much. im struggling to find something that they stock that is the exact same amount as the xbox, do you think maybe I could combine 2 different items that they stock to make up the weight or am I potentially failing the SE by doing so?

great, can you confirm if it would be ok to use more than one item to make up the correct weight?

It's very unlikely that a picking/packing error was made with several Items on the one order alone, so It's best to opt for a single Item.

agreed, also do you think it will affect my chances of the SE being successful if I replace with an item from another store, im struggling to find something on amazon to match weight and at a good price point?

the item has to be sold by amazon. It's very unlikely that a random item made it's way into an amazon warehouse and was shipped to some unsuspecting customer.

as for the item, you need to think about it creatively. If the package is around 4.5 kg, have you thought about getting a 4.5kg package of coffee or some other good? I think protein powders are sometimes sold with such weights.

I thought the same to, but in one of the guides im sure I remember seeing somebody say that it can be done, maybe im mistaken. amazon is a big retailer though with loads of stock it might be hard for them to identify the product against there extensive catalogue (maybe)
