How do you act when talking to emplyees? - TorUser827PlsNoBan - 10-24-2022

When asking for a refund or replacement what done do you take with the employees you are dealing with?
I've found that being angry tends to work better than anything else but maybe that's just me.

Impossible to generalize - there's too many factors and variations to name specifics.

The nature of the claim, as well as the context of the replies received against certain questions and concerns, all play a major role In how I respond and deal with representatives.

So lets say its my first EB with Airpods and i open the rep chat right after delivery. Should i act angry or more confused? What do you think @mothered ?

You don't want the Initial conversation to blow out of proportion, so use a combination of both In a firm but polite manner.

As such, It will get the claim started and moving forward - which Is exactly what you want. If need be, you can act a lot more angry/frustrated further down the track.

Most of the time being polite and understanding towards the reps is the best way to go.
You want them in a position where they are understanding towards you.
This way they are way more likely to help you.

If that doesn't work you can be more and more firm to the point of being angry, but only if all your other cards are played already.

Same goes for emails I think. Progressively increase the frustration/anger and frequency of sending follow ups.
In the end the agent will be happy to click refund just to get you of their case queue.

Polite, courteous, but stern.

I start nice saying I am worried I’ll be out of pocket. As the process goes on I show some frustration to make it more real. Never use anger
