First Amazon SE Question - CRSN47 - 10-24-2022

Hey guys, just looking for some quick advice on SEing a package that arrived today. I did same-day delivery this morning at like 2 am, so it came in less than 24hrs. It's a Geforce RTX 3070 GPU.
The account is 14 years old, never done any form of SE on it, and the last return was months ago.

Item Price:              $499 USD
Item Weight:          1.54lbs
Item Dimensions: 15 x 7.6 x 3.6 inches
Sold and shipped by Amazon

There was no OTP and no signature. Package was just dropped off in front of my door and that was all.
I haven't opened it at all, it's just sitting on my bed. I also took several photos of the package at my doorstep in case that would be useful in some way.
The guy who dropped it off was just some dude in a white shirt and Nike shorts, he delivered it in an unmarked blue Chevrolet, so no Amazon branding.

What do you guys think would be the best SE to secure the item? Any help is appreciated, thanks guys! Smile

I am unable to attach the photo the driver uploaded because it's flagging part of the link. But the photo is just a more downward angle of the package and the only thing visible is my doormat, a plant, and part of the door. No house numbers or anything.

Might wanna wait until mothered gets here but you could always rock with DNA. You could also use the disposed of faulty item method.

Yeah probably, any advice is appreciated though. I included as much info as possible so maybe more people could help. I'm sure mothered is a busy man Smile
What's the disposed of faulty item method though?

They've basically DNA'd themselves.

The driver can take 100 photos of every angle. It still won't change the fact that the package was left unattended at your doorstep.

Contact them the next day and say that you're still waiting for the package to arrive.

Hey, I appreciate the fast reply man.
Would it really be that easy? Even with the item being so expensive?

Unless the rep Is brain-dead and approves the claim on the spot, It won't be a straightforward process.

It's very likely an Investigation will be opened, and possibly a police report asked to be filed and returned.

I did some research into police reports in my area, and even doing that, I'm still concerned that it involves them actually coming to your house. Is that the case typically? I couldn't find anything online that allowed online reports to be filed.
Is there any way to avoid a police report?

Very rarely do the police take the matter further.

File It at your local police station.

Amazon In particular, remain adamant with the PR.

It's part of their protocol to obtain It and move forward with the claim.
