DNA On Signed package - iwannabenumba1 - 10-08-2022

So I recently ordered some jackets amounting to a little less than 500$. I already knew it required a signature so I figured I'd have it delivered to a warehouse I have access to that way it's not signed by me or anything. I proceeded to make a claim with UPS a week later claiming I never received the package and that it was signed under a name I was not familiar with, and that I asked around for it but to no avail. They called back a week later saying that the package was delivered to the warehouse and kept repeating it after I explained that I personally never received it. I was wondering how to proceed without disputing it with my b@nk or PayPal since I'm thinking of saving those for later down the road?

Who's the company?

^ What was their "exact" reply to this?

Let's first assess the events that took place.

Let's first assess the events that took place.

1. The company is Nike

2. It was a phone call, I cannot remember verbatim what they said

So where does your claim currently stand?

So the claim was closed as there was a proof of delivery, that of which being the signature. I just emailed UPS basically explaining that even if it was delivered, I don't know who received the package. I've contacted Nike and they said that they'll be glad to assist in the investigation with whatever UPS needs. So my question at this point is, would it be better to contact the company first before the actual carrier? Don't they just do the same thing where they file a claim with the carrier or is their process of investigating and re compensating the customer different? Also is it usually the company that takes money out their own pockets to cover the loss of goods or is it the carriers?

Did you sign it with ur own "real" signature?

Otherwise, it wasnt your signature. They delivered to the wrong person.

Who signed the delivery?

Someone at the front desk of the warehouse signed for it. Luckily after emailing UPS they've decided to re-open the investigation.

Just a status update, UPS is moving forward with the claim and is saying the claim has been issued to the sender. I've spoken to the sender and they've said they would gladly comply.
