Help with the empty box method - rhinofino - 08-31-2022 Hi, I did have a search for this on the forum but couldn't find anything. How do I go about perfecting the EB method with a paid of earbuds? Do I say that the earbuds are the only thing missing in the box, everything else like the papers, additional plugs, charging case are all in, it's just the earbuds themselves that are missing or do I also say that the case is gone too? Do I also say that the box has been opened? I. E there is a tear on the package that arrived? Or. Do I say that the actual box of the earbuds has been oepend only? Would that also mean that all the protective seals (if any) have also been taken off the actual earbuds box /case? Thanks RE: Help with the empty box method - Ordnael92 - 08-31-2022 When performing an EB on a pair of earbuds, you wish to put the blame on the manufacturer. By talking about tears on the package or broken seals you make it sound like the parcel's been tampered by a thief along its way to you. Given a crime has evidently been committed, you will most certainly be asked to file a PR. That's a totally unnecessary approach. Just tell them the earbuds were missing and that everything else was fine, no sign of tampering whatsoever. Most sellers won't bother with collecting the charging case, cables etc. RE: Help with the empty box method - K03NT3S31N - 08-31-2022 Exactly as stated above. And for the future: Provide only as much information as you need to. If you give too much, you will prevent yourself from getting out of the SE. So I literally just say that the earbuds were not in the box, that everything else was? Does this approach work for the majority of empty box techniques? Does this approach work for the majority of empty box techniques? Yes that's how majority of them work. This method is pretty good and is successful quite often. One way they can dispute this is by having cctv in the packaging stage of creating the product. They often don't as majority products get manufactured off-site. Another issue is if the manufacturer can see the product from within the box i.e. a see through package. This is why this method works really well on earbuds and some CPU's, due to their weight and packaging. What is the shop your trying to EB. If its not directly from the manufacturer but from a reseller like amazon, best buy etc. It should be fine to EB either way. They won't be allowed to view cctv footage from the manufacturer if im correct. RE: Help with the empty box method - Ordnael92 - 08-31-2022 (08-31-2022, 10:33 AM)rhinofino Wrote:You can't beforehand. See if I could empty box the new earbuds they have (08-31-2022, 11:03 AM)mothered Wrote:(08-31-2022, 10:33 AM)rhinofino Wrote: How would I determine if the store I'm trying to SE has CCTV in their warehouse?Hit a "practice run" - trial SE with a very cheap Item. Do you know if the Google store uses CCTV at all? Would save myself sometime and hassle if you or someone else knows that it does. Thanks! |
