Lego SE - looking for advice - Wardevil - 07-10-2022

Hi all !
So i just ordered a lego set for 170€ on the official lego site a week ago, i knew their service client was rly hard to get a refund from but i did not rly care because i would have bought it anyway.
It's a big boxe and it weight more than 1Kilo.
Anyway i contacted them via phone (im somewhat confident enough to do it and if im not wrong it may have a better chance of success) and basically said i did not receive it because dna is for any company and i wasnt sure of the other shady method like ordering two times and saying that one bag and another where missing in every parcel etc. So DNA.
The lady i talked too said that it was indeed signed and they had *gf name* and a signature with, which is correct because i wasnt there and could not fake sign it, also she said that it was not threw over a fence or anything. (i think carrier was UPS).
I told them that i did not now this name and that i did not saw anything arrive at my house, so obvlsy she said that i may check with neighbors and family blabla... I said i'll do it and recall them if i could not find it.

Summary :
> Someone got my lego package, real signed it and told their name, called support saying it DNA and hung up when asked to check with neighbors and family.

Do you think i should just abandon and leave it there, or do you think even with those proof i can maybe play dumb and i'll eventually get my refund without to much problems ?
Any help or testimony is welcome,
Thanks for taking the time to read this !

(obviously this is all fake and im a novelist)

If an Investigation Is opened (which Is extremely likely) and the details are cross-checked, the events of your DNA will significantly complicate matters.

LEGO is supposed to be easy to hit with DNA.

When you try this method always say that you already checked with your neighborhood and no one picked up anything or just say that you were home whole day waiting for your box but no one came.

I just refunded 450€ of Lego 2 weeks ago for my kids.

Which country, if I may ask?
I'm lusting over that huge Titanic, although that giant box might be kinda hard to claim as DNA, as it's gonna take some skills to carry it away

^ It's best to Isolate your claim for nonreceipt of goods, hence use this approach rather than the one above It.

Don't get the neighbours Involved when there's no reason to do so. It's a different story If they ask you to check - obviously comply with their request.

No doubt your kids will be delighted.

Did you experience any complications, or was It pretty straightforward?

Sorry i was not clear enough, i said to them that i did not check and that i would do it then recontact them, didnt juste hung up when asked to check ^^

So after explaining that do you think it's still possible to recall them and say that no neighbor received it ?
Do i risk something if they see after an investigation that the package was in fact delivered to me?

Thanks a lot for helping !

You have to have a plan when you call trying to SE. You were in the house and nobody came, you've already checked with neighbours and you're really annoyed as it was for your nephews birthday present this week.

You can't just say DNA and expect them to hand over a refund instantly.

I obviously cut down some part, but obvsly said it was a present of some sort and that it will be the day tomorrow, acted rly pissed of and asked them if it had any delay or anything, they explained to me all they could see (signature, name, delivered in hand, wasnt lost etc etc) and asked me to see with neighbors, said something like "ok thank you very much for helping me i'll recontact you after checking with my neighbors", had all planned but the fact that it was real signed (and i CAN'T do anything for that) just dosent work in my favor.
Anyway idk if you really helped me but thanks for taking the time to write something at least !
Wish you a great day, i'll try to recall and claim that no neigbor had it and pray for no investigation.

Ask them to see the signature and then claim it's not yours as you're a male

Well if it's not your signature that doesn't work against you. It works in your favour that they delivered to the wrong person...good luck with he SE
