Amazon account closed, help - tenous - 06-27-2022 Hi, a few days ago I bought Amazon gift cards with crypto. I placed a $90 order, paid with my gift card balance. Next morning my account was suspended for "unusual activity". They asked me to provide proof that I'm the owner of the payment method used to make the order, which they referred to as my credit card ending in XXXX, but I paid using gift card balance, not my card. They asked for my ID and billing statement, which I provided. Today I received another email saying that they've closed my account and that they may not reply to future emails. I had a $200 gift card balance. Has anyone been in this situation before and managed to get their account or money back? Who should I contact? What email should I write to? Should I just make another account with a different name, address, IP, etc? RE: Amazon account closed, help - Andrea Bags - 06-27-2022 that money's gone unless you get the account back RE: Amazon account closed, help - tenous - 06-27-2022 I just randomly received an email from gc-address-verification asking for a utility bill to prove my identity. Weird that they sent it after closing the account. RE: Amazon account closed, help - tenous - 06-27-2022 I received another email from another address asking for a billing statement of my credit card AGAIN. This is so confusing. RE: Amazon account closed, help - Nabeshin - 06-27-2022 They linked your accounts togheter, and you're flagged, so you're gonna be extra-checked every time you open a new one unless you manage to go full-incognito RE: Amazon account closed, help - BLKVED - 06-27-2022 This situation already happened to me ! No way to get back your account even if your legit (because they ask impossible to gather documents to prove that your the owner) It's useless to talk to them ! @Nabeshin probably not linked just suspected for fraud Mine was closed because I used my friend VCC to buy something for myself (Yeah with permission in the first place!) Boom acc closed, same thing with using my Father/Mother VCC after using mine ! Even by providing the documents I could, They always said "Yeah not enough proofs" RE: Amazon account closed, help - mothered - 06-27-2022 (06-27-2022, 04:27 AM)tenous Wrote: I just randomly received an email from gc-address-verification asking for a utility bill to prove my identity. Now they're asking me for the gift card receipts or a picture of the physical cards or an email or sms from the person who "gifted" them to me. They say my account will be reinstated as soon as I upload the receipts. The thing is I bought them with crypto. Do you think faking the receipts would work or can Amazon cross-check/verify them? Would that be correct?
