Apple one-time exception (?) - larry_ - 06-21-2022

Hey! Saw a reply on a thread talking about Apple one-time exception

What does it mean?

RE: Apple one-time exception (?) - mothered - 06-22-2022

In short, Apple will make an exception on the claim for a refund/replacement without the need to go through their standard protocol.

It can only be done once per each account, hence one-time exception.

Does the one time exception matter what methods used? Can I just sign into an account and claim DNA when an order arrives and they wont investigate?

Apparently DNA isn't the best option with Apple, you're better off with EB or Defective Item while trying to bypass the return

Can confirm EB works well at the moment with a very high success rate. I did this for a watch ~£400 of value. Started the refund process 2 weeks ago, received a refund yesterday. They just request pictures of the empty box and a police report.

As stated by @Nabeshin, do not use the DNA with Apple - they tend to release themselves from lability, and ask to deal directly with the carrier.

Just to make It clear, a one-time exception can be offered while the claim Is being assessed and an exclusion will apply. For Instance, If the product required a return but for one reason or another, you couldn't fulfil their request, they'll offer the one-time exception and not expect the return.

So it should be possible to buy an iphone, return it any reason and then FTID them?

That wouldn't even be using the exception, that's a regular FTID refund, not sure how they act on lost packages though
