tips on SEing 2x iphone 13 - tijdtikt - 05-30-2022
Hi, first of all: i look forward to being an active member of this community, joined today but I already read a lot of useful information.
To the point: I am expecting an amazon order of 2x iphone 13 pro max tomorrow and I was planning on paying a refunder 30% to do the work, but I discovered i might handle it myself if it is not that hard.
The problem is I am not sure what method works the best for a beginner. Now i'm not a retard and I am experienced with talking to customer service reps, but this was for legit orders and cheap products.
The order that i want to SE is from amazon .de and is placed on a 5-7 years old account but no previous orders as far as i know. I thought about the sealed box method so I already ordered some seal stickers today in case this is the best method. But then I read about the leaking / damaged battery method and this caught my attention. I could even make some fake battery fluid and spill it on them, then take photos of it so i can support photo evidence. This takes away the risk of having to return the items and them finding out it is not in the box.
But would this work on both phones? or can I do only one phone with this method.

I am receiving the iphones today. Thinking about DNA since there is no OTP, but kind of scared to mess with PR already on my first SE. Also thinking about paying a boxing service to FTID but i know @mothered is not a fan of this. Heard leaking battery method is not a great option and sealed box method is also getting kind of hard.
What would you recommend me?

If you don’t feel comfortable talking to a rep in this case, just pay a service to do the work for you. 30% sounds high to be honest, it’s possible for much lower fees..

I think talking to a rep won't be the hard part for me, choosing the method is much more difficult. For noow, DNA sounds like the easiest method, unless the police here is serious with PRs. So i'm researching that now.

I think a PR doesn't carry a big risk in this case unless you filed multiple PR's in a short period of time for the same matter.
DNA might be a good option since there is no OTP required, and there is even a chance they won't ask for PR since your account is in good standing.
I'm curious to read other's opinions on this and

preferably both, but if that makes it really hard then 1 is ok.
By the way, i just received the packages in my mailbox. apparently it's 2 seperate parcels. However on Amazon it says I have personally accepted the package, it doesn't say it was delivered in the mailbox so this could be in my favor.
I think i could go for the DNA method. What should i say? That i wasn't at home or should i say i was at home the whole day?

Sounds like an easy DNA. You will likely have to file a PR for it so if you are comfortable going ahead, I would recommend a DNA based on the information given.

Yeah, they likely will and I think in general it is advised to wait an extra day
