In store sealed box SE - zeuls - 04-27-2022

Hey guys!

I’m going to purchase an iphone 13 pro in store today or in the coming days. I got the seals and a dummy phone prepared, just wanted to get a last opinion over here before I proceed.

What do you guys think? Should I pursue this in store or should I instead order the phone online and return it in store?

If you do everything right you will be good to go for the SE.
Here are some tips, that might can help you to protect your security.
1. Purchase the phone with cash!
2. If you walk into that Store, make sure not many people know you (especially the employees)
3. Wear a cap and a face mask (corona mask will be fine)
4. If you seal the box use Gloves (be careful while sealing the box)
5. Give the phone 1-2 days back after you you buy it, so the workers will not be suspicious.
6. Be confided with talking, because it's a whole new level to perform a SE in real life.

Thank you so much for the tips! Thing is with stores here that they will ask for an ID even if I pay by cash, so can’t hide my identity at all. All I can do is have a covid mask..

This is completely new to me, but thanks for the good info! In which country do you live that they ask for an ID?

As with every In-store SE, attend late on a Thursday/Friday just before close of business - namely when they're Inundated with customers and returns. As such, they won't have time to thoroughly check the return.

Also, Identify the most vulnerable employee at the service counter. For example, young females tend to be naive/gullible, hence distract her by complementing her hair and nails etc. You'll find that everything mentioned, will draw attention away from the possibility of checking every part of the return.

Thanks for the info, really appreciate it!
Update: I just purchased the phone in store, didn’t need my ID just phone number and full mame.
Any tips on removing the seals from iphone 13 pro?
Thanks

You can try using a syringe and injecting isopropyl under the seals. Then use a razor blade and slowly work the seal off. Once the isopropyl dries you'll be able to reapply the seal.

New Update: I removed the seals using a blow dryer and a piece of paper, replaced with dummy phone.
I followed this youtube tutorial to remove it and replaced with a new one: https://youtu.be/P2pWYPd0S-A
I’ll be going back in store in a day or 2 and i’ll update on the situation!

Good luck and let us know how it goes. Worst case - and unlikely scenario that they open and discover it’s a dummy phone, this must have been what they gave to you in the first place. Be prepared to play the confused and shocked customer Wink

Alot of the time I find young white female employees to be really bitchy follow the protocol bootlickers.
