Apple se (airpods max) - Gunshotglamour - 04-21-2022

So we just bought a pair of the airpod Max's from Apple directly. We paid a little over 600 for them and would either like to get a replacement sent, or have it refunded. I have a few questions though.

What is the best bet to be successful? I know I can't eb them or wrong item. Could possibly claim did not arrive? Can you double dip with apple, and would this count towards their "1 time exception" rule I've heard abokt7, should I do that method with something more expensive like a MacBook pro?

It's being delivered via ups. I don't think it's requiring a signature but I'm not sure until it updates. They'll be delivered later today, ordered yesterday.

Thank you!

In terms of the wrong Item received, why do you believe that to be the case?

Apple can be difficult to deal with when using the DNA.

They'll claim they're not responsible for loss of goods In transit, and ask you to deal with the carrier.

A one-time exception can only be used once per account, so It's best to save It for a high value Item.

Since the DNA isn't the best method with them, what's the easiest option to make the most of the exception? I know someone else said empty package worked with a Macbook but I'm still kinda doubting it, and I have zero practice on re-sealing so that wouldn't be my first choice

The wrong Item received, (battery compatibility) the leaking battery method, or the disposed of the faulty Item.

It's too heavy for the EB/missing Item method.

The other member was fortunate to have dealt with a brain-dead rep.

Sorry, I can't figure out how to quote each response to reply.

I don't actually know about the wrong item method, I have no idea what I'd say or replace it with. I'm assuming it'd have to be something from Apple sealed brand new?
How do I prevent using the one time exception thing?

Could I use the battery method? Idk where to start. I read a few other ways to have it done, but I don't like the ftid methods, or the new rts method. I work for FedEx, I know I'd notice if someone gave me back an already delivered label. But maybe ups scanners work a little differently.

If you guys have any preferred methods that work easily with Apple, I'd appreciate it. Don't want to mess this one up lol.

Following this, the wrong item seems the easiest but I'm guessing they'd want it back?
Leaking battery too would require quite the smooth talk to prevent a return, I'd imagine

RE: Apple se (airpods max) - Gunshotglamour - 04-21-2022

I'm terrible at smooth talk apparently. I've had several successful se's, before I knew about se's. Turns out I've been doing the DNA method for years.

I think I may attempt to return them, or attempt the dangerous /hazard and see what happens lol.

I have managed to mess up several se's lately by going to far or jumping the gun saying something caught fire. 🤦‍♂️

Check out the tutorial on my blog.

RE: Apple se (airpods max) - Gunshotglamour - 04-24-2022

So I have decided to just try to return the items. I got a FedEx label, can I use this to my advantage? I definitely can't scan my own package, and unfortunately it's in my real name. Can I box them? They are too heavy I think to keep it empty? And the dry ice method I'm too nervous to do lol. Any help?

What's their precise weight?
