Successful JBL SE - johnnyboiog88 - 03-30-2022

Hi,

Just a post to say I recently SE'd JBL using the S/N method and even got an upgrade!

I had a Flip 5 s/n and used the classic, battery acid leak, didnt have to send photos as I said it was thrown away and after a couple of days they confirmed they are sending a replacement, but the replacement is a brand new Flip 6 speaker instead!

The customer service was great at every step and they were very pleasant to deal with and had a quick turnaround overall too.  Cool

Hey. Does s/n method mean you never actually had a product to begin with?

Correct. Or that is my understanding of it at least.

Yes! It was the norm, but now SEing seems to have shifted to having the product and then doing the SEing

Yes.

You obtain a serial number that's still under warranty, and use that to SE the Item It relates to.

How did you get around them asking for an order number or receipt?

Made a fake invoice.

So you told them you bought it from a store, right? Not through JBL directly?
