Growing new amazon accounts? - thefawkesguy - 03-28-2022

Hi there,

I hope this isn't the wrong subforum I'm posting in.

Recently I've been trying to grow new amazon accounts but it seems to be harder than I thought.

Once I try to make a warmup purchase, Amazon blocks me , stating that I need to verify that I am the owner of the VCC I am paying with.

Btw, I am trying with Amazon.de

I used incognition without canva blocking or anything that might be suspicious.

Ofc I also used new ip and a new gmail.

Before ordering I scrolled a few days because I legitimately couldn't decide which item to get.

I used wise with a new VCC that seemed to be from Norway.

For billing address I used a random address since from what I know AVS is only available in US, Canada and Uk.

The only thing that might be possible is that they detect that the VCC issuer is in Norway but I state that my billing address is in Germany.

Could this be the mistake or something else?

I would appreciate any help!

I believe Wise has you register your cards to your billing address, have you changed that to match the Germany address?

I haven´t changed the billing address in my wise account. However, I was left with the impression that the address verification system operates only in US/CA/UK and they can´t actually see it.

I wonder if it's because Wise is a UK company. Like even for me, the default currency is the GBP.

Is that the only reason for the block?

In other words, If It's verified, the Issue will be solved?

Yes, this is the only reason. I wanted to avoid that so that I don't need to fake billing documents. Also, I know they reject a lot of them. I just don't get what is raising the flags.

There'd be a mismatch with the details on the VCC and your Amazon account, hence the request to verify ownership of the VCC to confirm you're the rightful owner.

Exactly what I am thinking but how can they see it? Amazon shouldn´ t be able to see my VCC address. This is what is bugging me. I want to understand it and maybe find a way to avoid this. Thanks for your help so far Mothered!

They'd see the address, but not the full card number - only the BIN number, the first 4-6 digits.

Doesn't that work only in US/Canada and UK? I read about address verification service and it shouldn't operate outside of these countries.
