Still vcc can be traced if there is a police report

There are services that provide anonymous VCCs.

Also, the police has better things to do, than to pursue a one-off Incident for a claim that allegedly didn't contain the original product. Who's to say that the buyer who purchased your return, Isn't an SE'er and Is claiming the Incorrect Item was In the box, hence he's responsible for the event?

As far as I understood the method, after the item has been placed back into stock and then sent out to another customer, they can't trace who did what and when. Is this assumption wrong?

Also, @mothered, I'm actually trying to successfully perform the SB method right now with amazon. Sealed the box to perfection and it's not obvious that the outer packaging has been opened either. Returned the item the next day. My concern now is that I brought the parcel to the post office last Saturday and they received it on Tuesday. Usually, I would get a refund confirmation mail one or two days later. I'm now assuming that they actually wait until they checked the return as it's a high value item. Is that timespan normal for high value items? I guess I'll just have to wait until the 14 days are over before I contact support but I'm still curious if this is to be expected.

They took 3 weeks to refund me last time. Sometimes they just have a lot of returns to process

That Is correct.

Given It's placed back Into stock, then picked, packed and dispatched and transported by the carrier until It reaches Its destination (the buyer), It goes through so many hands. As such, It cannot be pinpointed to yourself - the social engineer.

Refund confirmations are not always consistent.

Under similar circumstances, I've experienced a couple that took 2 weeks to finalize. It won't hurt to contact them In a few days or so, asking for an ETA on the refund.

@mothered alright, but what about selling the phone, if the phone is sold and later is blacklisted i think they can trace you back as they can see the country of the return

They require me to wait 14 days until support can help me out. I just never had to wait for a refund that long with amazon. I'm quite confident in the job I did with resealing though and even if they would open the box, everything looks as it's supposed to. Thanks for your help, as always.

If you're Intending to sell tech-based Items that contain IMEIs and/or serials, It's done by purchasing and selling using fake credentials.
