Intel SE - karlthegod - 02-17-2022

Hello guys,

I am currently trying the Intel SE again, last time didn't work out as I couldn't get to the Drop Box in time. I was just wondering if anyone has tried recently and succeeded? Just want to see if anyone has tried it yet to confirm if it's still working or not. Either way I'm still going through with it to try it for myself.

What exactly did your last SE Involve, and what are you planning this time around?

I'm doing the same as the last time I attempted, last time I just couldn't get it out for delivery in time. This time around I'm getting close to getting the CPU, it just seems to be a good experience doing this, as you learn what different reps do in this case. Contacted support twice, the first time I was able to start the return process but discovered that I had gotten the info from a tray processor (meaning it came out of a prebuilt), and they don't cover that in their warranty so I have to check their warranty checker to make sure I am getting a box processor. The 2nd rep required me to "contact the seller again and provide this email and the intel support case number as proof that they can proceed with a replacement" and the rep said if they still decline they will process it from their end. I believe I can still succeed with this 2nd rep, just have to email the rep back and "break the news" that the "seller still won't provide a refund", and they should hopefully start the replacement process.

Edit: the last SE involved an i9-10900k, same as this time around

I do not unfortunately, but I have the rep I was being helped by's email. It's all email communication from here, and even if it's not the same rep, I have my case number recorded and saved, so the new rep if I need one can take things from the last convo

if they don't end up honoring it, i will try it again with another rep. from dealing with Intel in the past for products I bought that did fail I don't think they'd do that

Given that's the case, didn't the rep In question communicate to you via email?

I'm just trying to establish the gateway of communication, and whether It can be referenced.

Be sure to mention what you were told by the 2nd rep and If you remember, provide the date and time of when It took place.

the 2nd rep is not involved with the first rep, first rep's case was closed because I had gotten the info from a OEM CPU, which is not provided under warranty. The 2nd rep was for another case, which I have relied to their email and let them know the seller would not provide a refund.

So as per your comment below, what Is the 2nd rep referring to by saying It will be processed on their end?

sorry about that I guess I missed that part. They just meant that if the company still won't send a replacement they'll take care of the replacement, if I return the product from what I understand (so I'd just ship an empty package)

Yes, I thought as much, but just wanted clarification after you posted this:

Quote:The 2nd rep was for another case
