Pricey GPU DNA - spennacchione - 01-13-2022

Hi guys, I open this thread for advices/tracking my first SE.

As i said on other thread....I bought a pricey GPU (>1.2k €) from a computer part site from france (LDLC). From this site i did another, legit, gpu order months ago (600€),
I'd like to DNA it, arrived today.
NO OTP / NO SIGN at delivery. UPS was the courier.

Should i DNA it or do u suggest other method? (I'm not confident in sealed box not only for the weight, around the 1.3 kg, but also because i think none ask for returs a MSRP gpu atm)
If yes, should I start today a conversation with the customer care? (timing is important)...
(another user did a DNA with success, it was a CPU priced at 300-400usd)

Thanks in advance guys.

Are you italian? Does that site ship to Italy? I was looking for a site like that for a GPU (already did amazon so I can't really push it).
Strongly interested in seeing how this attempt will go.

Since it was no OTP and no sign, probably DNA is the best way to go. I think UPS can be a little serious though.

Yes I'm italian and it ships in Italy, it's the site where Nvidia post the FE for the shock drop.
Btw, which could be the problem with UPS? I live in a little town and i think (but I'm not sure) that UPS pay someone for last mile delivery.
I rarely see a ups "truck" in my town....they usually deliver with some anonymous truck....I don't know if this could be relevant

I heard they could come and ask questions as per their protocol for investigations, but on second thought it was in america. Never heard of courier coming to ask questions in europe.
I can say it never happened to me in europe, but I used empty box with them (much lower value item)

The anonymouse truck sounds good. Another link in the chain is another possibility for missing package and plausible deniability.

NO OTP / NO SIGN at delivery. UPS was the courier.
Was the package purely left unattended at the doorstep/external premises?

If so, hit the DNA.

Quote:arrived today.
should I start today a conversation with the customer care?
Contact them the next day.

You're not supposed to know It arrived, hence you're still (seemingly) waiting for the delivery.

Package was left at ground floor, i live at first. They enterented in the builing and left it there. I opened the external door and said "leave it, thanks" (like always).

Yes true....delivery was scheduled on monday , but tracking it's updated and says "Delivered"

Perfect, go ahead with the DNA.

It doesn't matter.

Under the above circumstances of the driver dumping the package, to avoid suspicion, you're (apparently) not monitoring the delivery status, but rather waiting for the package to arrive. Being clueless about the delivery works to your advantage - It does not trigger any signs of suspicion whatsoever.

Given all you're doing Is waiting for the delivery, even a day before the scheduled delivery date Is fine.

Please do.

Okay so we had a little talk where they asked me if anyone of in my neighborhood have picked the package for me... i waited sometimes and i replied "no, none, ecc".
Now they send me a message where they told me to fill something like a "hand-written and signed letter of honor" where i have to write that the item is not arrived, then they will send it to the delivery company.

So if I understand well that's not a "police report" but something similar but not close. Btw, I'm going to do it,,,any advice? Just fill it and go ahed?
