Got it - jGmYP4 - 01-04-2022

I bout the laptop I set my eyes on (dell inspiron 15 5515) . The ups deliveryman did not ask for a signature but my residence hosts cameras so I'm going to try and find a decent SE that can work. If you guys have any recommendations while I go look it would be appreciated. (cost was around $690) (weight is around 3.70lbs)

Was It left at the doorstep, or handed to you?

If the cameras are positioned to capture the footage, disregard the DNA.

The sealed box method or (If It arrived In a package), the wrong Item received can be used. You also have the disposed of the faulty Item method.

You're also entitled to a replacement with the wrong Item received method.

I'm almost done with planning it out. The reason im not going with the wrong item received would be due to it coming in a specifically shaped package that resembles that of a laptop. I could say that I was shipped a different kind of laptop but then I would have to send something back and I believe they would check it... no?

@jGmYP4
How do you know they'll check the contents? If you ship the same weight and pack it according to how they shipped it to you in a way identical to the original packaging - you won't have to worry they'll open the return. No?

You would be talking about the sealed box method i'm guessing. Issue is I have forgotten what it looked like before; that's why I cant repackage it exactly as I saw it. With the wrong item received method tho, I believe I need to prepare some things before I even purchase my item. In terms of how I know they might check the box? It just a guess. :/

@mothered Is there a specific site I can go to find out what are the tech supports hours? I'm trying to see if I am able to call them right as their shift ends so I can hit when they are most tired. I tried looking at job listing sites but they didn't show the hours.

Correct, to process the refund/replacement, they will scan and check the wrong Item and place It back Into stock.

That's why It's crucial to purchase something (on a different account) that's part of their Inventory - they'll assume they've picked, packed and dispatched that Instead of the Item that was originally ordered/purchased. For your reference, the wrong Item doesn't need to be a like-for-like product.
