SE advise for amazon warehouse - woot - 12-15-2021

I'm looking at a laptop on Amazon warehouse about $1300 in value. I've done SE in the past, but nothing of this value. That's when I came across this forum in my research.

I can't do DNA or EB as amazon recently  switched to using their in-house couriers which takes pictures of the delivery. Also they rarely leave it at the lobby anymore, so can't use the excuse that it was taken by someone else.

I probably can't do a sealed in box method as the item would already be opened because it's from their Deals Warehouse. What other methods would be effective?

Any chance "wrong item in box" would work? Saying that the previous return wasn't inspected properly and it swap it out with a very old laptop (not same brand, roughly same size).

Will an OTP be required on delivery?

It's a lot more difficult using the wrong Item received method through Amazon Warehouse Deals, as opposed to sold and shipped by Amazon.

Every Item goes through a 20-point Inspection prior to being sold, hence the probability of an Incorrect Item dispatched Is slim.

No OTP required.

Hmm. I see. I thought about using this method as I was hoping on blaming human error during the "inspection" and the return warehouse associate to hate their job enough not to care (not being thorough).

Any other ideas?

The method can still be used, but It may be a lengthy/difficult claims process.

Given an OTP Is not required, you can obviously DNA It.

No OTP but Amazon has been delivering up to the suite door, and takes a picture as proof of delivery.
I would imagine this being the same lengthy claims process as well.

Dry ice box method?

If It's left at the front of the premises, photographic evidence Is useless.

They can take 100 photos. It still doesn't change the fact It was left unattended, hence you didn't personally receive It.

Dry Ice will definitely be required to box them.

What's the exact weight of the laptop?

You have a point, I haven't argued that to CS before. Because I have a history of refunding items (old account), I am worried that they will deny a claim over $1000 and find it suspicious.
I've already gotten an ofm email earlier this year for an actual legit return.
I am more confident with DNA on lower value items. Small higher value items (but still under $1k) I have used other methods.

laptop alone 1.32kg

Did you question It at the time of receiving the email?

Given It was a legit return and assuming It didn't trigger any suspicion, you're well within your rights to dispute It.

Understood.

Then you'd need to accurately calculate the dry Ice sublimation time.
