I create my own receipts with the correct address of the store where the "device was purchased"

I would recommend next time try saying that you got it as a gift I did that and I got my replacement however they are likely to ask for proof that the product is broken which you can easily fake by putting a paper on the pins of the usb to block it from being plugged in

they also check the receipt via contacting store, you may need to find a careless rep to get approved

Confirm data from the receipt. If you lost the receipt well then its gonna be a problem
