AMD SE Rma Approved, Shipping Question - bayok - 11-07-2021 Alright, how I got here, I applied for an rma, sent them corrupted images a couple times, got the rma approved. Heres the somewhat tricky park, I now have to ship back the cpu (which I don't have as I done the SN method). Because of the weight of the cpu(79g), I am thinking of doing an empty padded envolope. Would it also increase success rates if I attemtped to FTIDv3 the package? In answer to your question, an average padded envelope Is around 30 grams. I assume I can purchase said padded envelopes from a postal office or drop off point? Choose the smallest and lightest one that will accommodate the CPU. I am thinking of cutting the side, placing some sort of brown tape over it, and filling some of the package with the same color tape until it weighs envelope weight + cpu weight. Any thoughts? Be sure to not overdo It with the external taping, whereby It's not noticeable at the collection point, but enough to show signs of tampering. I always recommend to cut the package/envelope just enough to show that the Item can be removed. For example, there's no purpose making a 10 Inch cut, when the Item Is only 5 Inches. |
