300€ Amazon SE - K03NT3S31N - 08-17-2021

Hello,

i've just ordered something from amazon (3 items in total, 2 coming in the first package, the third one in the second).
I would like to ask a few questions first, but then go through the SE for the most part "alone" and give you an update every day (if necessary). If there are any more questions, I'll get in touch.

First of all, my plan is to DNA both of the packages (according to Amazon, these arrive around the same day)
The first item in the first package is a consumable (sold and delivered by Amazon), the second item is a dashcam (sold by a third-party company but delivered through Amazon).
Does it make any difference if I contact the third party company directly for the dashcam instead of Amazon? Or doesn't it matter, since I am reporting the entire package as DNA to Amazon?

If somehow the DNA fails -> Is the faulty item (for the consumable) and the defect item (for the cam, e.g. leaking battery / broken item) method a good option?

If not, It's not very likely that two packages didn't arrive from the one company at different times of the day.

If you ordered from Amazon, that's who you claim through.

Are you planning to use two separate methods at the same time for each consignment?

Probably not at the same time and not from the same driver either.
I thought (since, according to Amazon, all parcels arrive on the same day) that I would pretend I wasn't at home and the suppliers would then leave both parcels in front of the door. Then you could pretend a thief had stolen both packages.

I'm sticking to DNA (for now). However, if an OTP or a signature is required (or the driver decides not to simply drop the parcel in front of the door, but to bring it to a pick-up station), then I would pick up the package normally and use the other two methods.

If both drivers happen to leave the packages unattended at the doorstep (which doesn't happen too often with separate Incidents on the same day), then yes, by all means hit the DNA.

Both packages arrived today (5 hours apart). Unfortunately, the second parcel was so small that the supplier (DHL) could put it in the mailbox. The Amazon supplier with the other package (with the dashcam and consumable inside) simply put it down right next to the front door. Free DNA I guess.

I'll contact Amazon in the next 2-3 days and will claim DNA on the second package. I will probably pay the first one (the one in the mailbox) since it's only worth 30€.

Unless photos were taken of the parcel In the mailbox, there's no evidence to suggest that the driver did In fact put It there.

Perfect to DNA It.

Anyone could've stolen the package while It was left unattended.

I've just contacted the Amazon support. I told them that the last package didn't arrive.
I also told him that I bought the items somewhere else since it was a birthday gift and I needed it ASAP.
Literally after 5 messages he said they will refund it tomorrow.
I'll keep you updated!

You've used a very good approach with the above, namely the scenario of a birthday gift.

By the way, I only mentioned that the last package (with the two items) did not arrive (I did not mention the package from the mailbox). The reply of the rep however sounds like he will refund both packages to me.

Yes, I understood It as only the last package.

Hopefully he's referring to each consignment and Issues a refund for both.
