Resealing airpods? - Madmanlugo - 07-17-2021

Does anyone have any experience with AirPods Pro packaging? I know what it's like from videos, but I have no idea how to circumvent the plastic packaging and annoying side-opening tab. Could a heat gun potentially meld the ruptures in the plastic, or is there an easier method I am not seeing? I know some of the latest iPhone models can be opened and resealed without making a single hole in the plastic film.

If it's not possible to cover the tampering properly then I might as well just claim the product is defective and swap it with a fake pair. Any thoughts?

Why not opt for the missing Item method?

Because it's the only item and it is heavier than 120grams. I think only a missing item manufacturer error would work here. Also, we're talking about Argos here, for clarification.

Not the AirPods Pro.

Each AirPod Is 5.4 grams, and the charging case Is around 46 grams - total weight (round figures) Is 57 grams. That's under half the weight of the maximum allowance for the missing Item method.

Interesting. Although they came in an argos bag, not even a box. If they hold a record on the packaging used then I don't know what my chances would be for a missing item here.

Argos have CCTV cameras In operation, so If their packers physically placed the AirPods In the bag, the footage will show exactly that.

Is Amazon an option for you?

I was actually taking a small break from amazon for now and was wondering about Argos. I have a fake pair laying around and I think it should be no problem to swap them as they look extremely alike.

Hopefully they don't cross-check the serial number.

I could always just claim I sent them what was sent to me (someone else replaced the item before it reached me). Or missing item manufacturer error.
