Combined DNA (advice needed) - Rasdi - 03-04-2021 Hey, I'm planning to DNA two companies at the same time, about 5-6k worth combined. My only issue is that the mailman might require me to accept the package in hand but they still don't do signatures due to covid. I'm expecting needing a PR for each, that's why I want to combine the DNA like this I only do 1 PR. I would time both orders to arrive the same day or within a day of each other. Is this plan sound to you guys? Given there's no other form of delivery verification, "you" did not personally receive the package. Quote:that's why I want to combine the DNA like this I only do 1 PR. I would time both orders to arrive the same day or within a day of each other. If they arrive on separate days, a PR would be required for each Incident. Also, each company may request different details. For example, crime reference number, name of the associated precinct, file number of the rights and so on. Do you think it would be safe to edit 1 PR and change the required details (date, item, etc) and pass it off to the second company? I'm not sure if they actually check with the police or do they just use it for documentation. My other idea if they arrive on separate days is to say that I was away for a day or two but I feel that's not ideal as I think that it's my responsibility to be represent the day of the delivery. It can have serious legal ramifications and as per the example below, companies tend to check Its authenticity. A family emergency could've taken place, or you were unexpectedly called for a business commitment at work or perhaps you were admitted to hospital, and the list goes on. I was going to photoshop the PR based on the original one I'll get but I'll follow your advice and figure out something else. Maybe if I say that I had an emergency spanning both delivery days I would only need 1 PR. I rather not do 2 to keep my options open for the future. Both deliveries are on the way so I'll think of something shortly. Ultimately, It's your choice. (03-04-2021, 04:59 AM)Rasdi Wrote: Maybe if I say that I had an emergency spanning both delivery days I would only need 1 PR. If not, then you're good to go with a single PR for both events. RE: Combined DNA - Rasdi - 03-08-2021 There is a complication that I think makes the combined DNA too risky. Item 1 will arrive today and item 2 should arrive tomorrow. I just learned that both items are shipped using the same carrier and I feel that this makes it a lot more risky. I know for a fact that item 1 needs to be hand delivered or they won't leave it at the door and that the probability that the driver follows the rules is very high. Item 2 is supposed to have a signature although I think that due to covid it will be the same delivery method as item 1. I got 2-3 legit orders similar to item 1 delivered in the past 3 weeks and from what I've seen it is not always the same driver for the same address but it'll be the first time that the orders arrive back to back so I'm not sure if it won't be the same or if they haven't seen me before. Both items are big and heavy but item 2 is very big and hard to move by a single person. As previously discussed, I'm expecting needing a PR for each item but now that they are shipped from the same carrier and that they both require to be hand delivered/signed for I'm starting to have doubts on making item 2 work. I need your opinion and your advice to make this SE more successful or if you think I should abort item 2 and only DNA item 1. RE: Combined DNA - Rasdi - 03-10-2021 Both items have now arrived. Item 1 arrived yesterday during the day and item 2 arrived today at night. Hand delivered for both but no signatures were taken. The drivers were different but I've seen the driver of Item 1 during a previous delivery. I will dna the first item but I'm hesitant about the second item. I appreciate your (mothered or another member) advice on this one. Do you think that claiming dna for both items is too risky since they were shipped using the same carrier? My main concern is having any of the drivers (or the cops) knocking on my door. It's the same carrier but the items were bought from 2 different companies. The only way I see it going south is if the carrier actually says anything. I've heard that there's a possibility of the carrier blacklisting the address so I think I better claim dna on item 1 only. Any suggestions on how to SE item 2 or should I just return it and try again at another time? Item 2 is with Amazon by the way. |
