Paypal dispute for heavy item - Msghost - 12-23-2020 Hi, I've just received a prebuilt pc from a company just a few days ago. I've contacted Paypal on the matter and the seller agrees to refund me if I send it back. Obviously, I can't do the EB/boxing method as the pc is almost 12kg in weight and I've never tried FTID a high-value item of roughly 2k before so I'm a bit unfamiliar with the method. Any suggestions on how to deal with this? RE: Paypal dispute for heavy item - mothered - 12-23-2020 May I ask why you didn't DNA It to begin with? That aside, what's your reason for the return? Well I was being a dumbass and through my research thought that the company usually doesn’t respond to paypal claims. They do now... My reason for return was that something wrong with the pc and I can’t turn on despite changing the power supply plug and display port. Although It's large and quite heavy, you could've said you had a change of mind and then use the sealed box method, by substituting It with anything of equal weight. When they receive the return In It's (seemingly) original state, there'll have no reason to check It, hence place It back In stock and Issue a refund. Due to the above circumstances that work against you, It will be extremely difficult to circumvent sending the entire unit back. If there's any parts that you need, you can try swapping them for a like-for-like Item. Wouldn’t paypal rule in favour of me if the package is marked as delivered? I’m planning on using that and putting some sort of weight in it. Also cheers for the comforting words. I’m planning on using that and putting some sort of weight in it.PayPal do tend (at times) to rule In favor of the buyer based on the tracking being shown as delivered, however that's not the Issue In this case. The problem Is the seller checking the return, and Identifying that the original Item has not been sent back. The seller can then file a dispute through PayPal Seller Protection and ask the transaction be reversed. What about chargeback afterwards if the seller decided to contact Paypal? If this doesn’t work, what’s your suggestions on what to do next? If this doesn’t work, what’s your suggestions on what to do next? You can certainly try PayPal first and If that fails, perform a chargeback through your credit card provider, or a bank reversal via your financial Institution. If you're In the UK, you can hit a Section 75 against your credit card provider- which you're covered under their "the product Is faulty" terms. RE: Paypal dispute for heavy item - Msghost - 12-23-2020 Alright cheers. I will try empty box tomorrow and chargeback if that doesn’t work RE: Paypal dispute for heavy item - mothered - 12-23-2020 (12-23-2020, 11:33 AM)Msghost Wrote: Alright cheers.
