John Lewis SE - ShadowRealm - 12-16-2020
Hi,
So I was planning on doing another SE, this time on John Lewis as I needed to order from there anyway.
As usual, I ordered one big item I want to keep, as well as the item (under 80g) I want to SE. My plan was to do the manufacture missing item method again as this has worked a few times at other retailers now.
But my order arrived and they just left it outside in my porch, and there is no tracking information at all. The John Lewis site says "tracking unavailable".
So now I am thinking that a DNA may be the way to go. I paid through PayPal as usual also.
Thoughts?

If there's no tracking at all then DNA will work. But are you sure it didn't ship with tracking? Sometimes the tracking number doesn't work for the customer, but will work from the delivery companies end and they could update it accordingly. I'd say you're good to go unless it's DPD.

You mentioned that the tracking says it's unavailable. I'd say contact customer service in a day or two and ask them if there is something wrong with the tracking.
Don't immediately say you didn't receive it, how would you know it was supposed to arrive already if the tracking isn't updating? DNA seems solid with this though as it was left on your porch with no signature, it's for the taking for any passersby

What I would do is wait a couple days and then hit them with DNA. Anyways, good luck with your SE and keep me updated.

The fact that they've left It unattended at your premises, Is perfect to DNA It. As far as you're concerned, someone stole It, hence you did not "personally accept It".
