Find a Serial Number of a product - Green314 - 11-12-2020
I have seen countless times questions like "where do I find SN?", "how can I easily find a SN?" and so on...
Here it's a guide for you guys. There are multiple ways of obtaining it, they are:
- Take it from a store: If the serial on the box is the same as the item enclosed, simply take it from a store you're went without purchasing the item.
- Take it from somebody else: Go to Ebay.com or similar websites, send to the seller of the item a message looking like you are interested and say if you can check the serial number on the product's website to see if it is still under warranty. Alternatively you can watch unboxing videos from youtube and try to get it from them.
- Take it from a product you have purchase: Purchase the item you're interested in and take note of the serial after that return it for a refund.
- Buy it online: Surf through forums and websites like sinister.li, find people who are willing to sell it and buy it from them.

You've basically covered everything, so there should be no excuse with not being able to locate a serial. I'd like to add that If the serial on the box Is the same as the Item enclosed, simply walk Into a store and take note of It without purchasing.

Personally i usually use the eBay method as our country is in lockdown atm most stores are closed.
Never though about the purchasing and returning one might try that.

Yes, that's common to see
People usually don't have an idea of where they can locate the S/N
eBay method it's flawless, only bad thing it's that more and more sellers are getting aware of these methods and they often refuse to give the serial
although there's always someone without knowledge that will give you the s/n

Hahaha that's true man, In fact, The current keyboard I use was all thanks to an unboxing video with less than 10 views
This method it's one of the best and less known out there

Great guide.
I’ve had success getting multiple serials using a background video recording app on my phone to record labels while “browsing” at large electronic retailers.
Even if the serials are not front facing and / or are in a locked case the average retail worker will not care or think is suspicious if you take a few pictures of the boxes / labels.
If you feel the need to explain yourself you can simply laugh it off and say something like “my friend said to take a picture of the specs” “My girlfriend wanted me to take a picture of this to make sure it’s the right model number.” Etc
