Amazon UK wrong item received - Ddog - 11-07-2020 Hi, I purchased an apple watch series 6 which costs £510 on amazon UK (this is coming tomorrow), I was thinking about the wrong item received method being the best method for this refund, I researched the weight and found that it will be from 300-400g, would there be any investigations that may happen or an affidavit? I'd like to stay away from those, would there be any other methods that may suit this refund better? RE: Amazon UK wrong item received - mothered - 11-07-2020 Given It's the wrong Item received, they "may" do an Internal Investigation within the confines of the company Itself- such as (where applicable) refer to CCTV footage, check who picked & packed the order and so forth. It won't Involve anything on your end. As for an affidavit, It's not possible to be conclusive. If It were a high value Item, then there's every possibility that It will be requested. On the other hand, If the rep Is half-asleep on the job, then It may work. On the grounds that the watch Is not visible externally (without opening the box), you can opt for the sealed box method. RE: Amazon UK wrong item received - bburnsey - 11-07-2020 I assume you see what I’m trying to do currently. Currently in progress.... Can confirm Amazon complete package is marked up at 0.6KG and you will likely have to give a OTP on delivery to the driver. Seems to be happening a lot on Apple products via Amazon atm this would force a stop to DNA RE: Amazon UK wrong item received - Ddog - 11-07-2020 (11-07-2020, 03:59 PM)mothered Wrote:by missing item method I mean the watch piece which wont weigh more than 50g(11-07-2020, 03:43 PM)Ddog Wrote: is there another method that can be done without an affidavit? i saw another thread talking about the missing item method but i thought the wrong item received would be a better fitIt's too heavy for the missing Item method, but that's based on an Investigation opened and cross-checking the consignment details with the carrier. I want to stay away from the sealed box method as I've already done it on my account (11-07-2020, 04:07 PM)bburnsey Wrote: I assume you see what I’m trying to do currently. Currently in progress....what do you mean otp upon delivery? RE: Amazon UK wrong item received - bburnsey - 11-07-2020 One time password. I received the same watch today and I was sent a an email to give the driver my OTP otherwise they couldn’t deliver the parcel. SE started via the same method you spoke of in your last comment, will need to wait 24-48 hours for investigation but been offered replacement or refund. Watch weight was bang on 40g RE: Amazon UK wrong item received - Ddog - 11-07-2020 (11-07-2020, 07:10 PM)bburnsey Wrote: One time password.the otp is very strange, i saw that i needed to sign for it when checking out but thats it has the investigation not finished yet? its strange that they offered a refund or replacement before the investigation has finished but at least its confirmed and the SE worked RE: Amazon UK wrong item received - mothered - 11-08-2020 (11-07-2020, 05:54 PM)Ddog Wrote: by missing item method I mean the watch piece which wont weigh more than 50gGot It. It's perfect for the missing Item method and to be honest, barring any unforeseen circumstances, I can't see It failing. RE: Amazon UK wrong item received - Ddog - 11-09-2020 I ended up going with the missing watch interface and it worked out great, they told me to return it and they put a note on the return saying the interface is missing |
